Queensboro Bay is located on the Lake Superior shoreline and its harbor services the vast shipping industry of the Great Lakes. The Inn bequeathed to the entire Steger clan is a run down and horrid eyesore for the entire community. The family is conflicted over selling or renovating the hotel, which leads to many tense interactions as they move forward with a final decision. Is there a way to hold their family together by pursuing this dream of building a legacy at the Inn? How will setbacks and misunderstandings give way to unimaginable loving relationships developed along the way?
Cooper Steger is spending significant time with his brother Nels who recently retired from military service. While Nels refuses to talk about his deployment, it is obvious it was traumatic and he is not dealing with it very well. A shocking turn of events transpires when the brothers suddenly get a call from an organization that oversees the last will and testament of fallen service members. With this new enlightenment, the Stegers decide to take a trip to Queensboro Bay to assess the new Inn left to the family.
Aubrey has been steadfast in her devotion toward the day Cooper and she will be married. She enjoys teaching at the local Head Start and spending time with both their families. Unfortunately, Nel’s arrival home has pushed her to the background as the family tries to address his concerns after his military service has ended. When they make the shocking announcement about the Queensboro Bay Inn, she wonders whether the love of her life will leave her behind in pursuit of this new endeavor.
Will Aubrey choose her home over Cooper where she knows her family and friends can support her? Will the Inn be the answer to prayer or will it lead to a path of destruction for the Steger family?
