This was a fantastic listen. An amazing book with a great story. It is a feel-good story even for those who may not be into whiskey. The story behind helping a family generation and bringing the story of Nearest to the world was truly heartfelt.

Self care for our Nation

This beautiful story within a story was a balm for my soul that I didn't know I needed. Uncle Nearest's story of family, friendship, and authenticity is powerful reminder of seeing the person over the skin color, status, etc. Fawn's story within the story…I'm still processing. The tenacity, the faith, the obedience, the "how many rounds they want to go with me" I'M here for it and the masterclass.

A great read for whiskey and history lovers

I enjoyed Fawns story. I enjoyed how she mixed the history of Nearest and her story from being a high school dropout to a great businesswoman.

Fascinating story of unknown history.

Nice to hear the author narrating her own story creating a personal connection. It was great to delve into a history unavailable outside of the Lynchburg community and the triumph of bringing that history and truth (and exceptional whiskey!) to the world.
