Publisher's summary

From Sarah M. Eden, the USA Today best-selling author of the Longing for Home series, Love Remains is a new romance novel set in the beloved world of Hope Springs.

For nearly a year, Tavish O'Connor has carried the crushing weight of his family's future on his shoulders. He has taken on the care of his youngest brother, Finbarr, who lost his eyesight in a terrible accident. But the lad needs more than Tavish can provide. Finbarr needs hope.

Cecily Attwater specializes in hope. As a tutor to the newly blind, she has dedicated her life to helping others overcome the obstacles she herself has conquered. Her new assignment in a remote corner of Wyoming proves trickier than usual: Finbarr refuses to learn. To make matters worse, his family - and the other Irish townspeople - are less than thrilled to discover an Englishwoman in their haven.

Cecily's only hope lies in securing the cooperation of her pupil's brother, Tavish, who happens to be her harshest critic and quite possibly the most frustrating man she's ever known.

For Finbarr's sake, Tavish and Cecily forge an uneasy alliance that, as the weeks pass, tiptoes toward something deeper than either dares admit or face, and toward a future they know to be impossible. There can be no hope of a happy outcome for an Irish man and an English woman amongst a people reeling from violence and centuries of hatred between their two homelands.

Superb story and Excellent Narrator

Once again Ms. Eden can spin a story like no other—her words are pure gold. No one can tell of life better than she. And the narrator only adds her performance to make the story beyond magical into real beauty— loved, loved, loved it!

made me cry and empathize

I love a book with layers of plot. so many wonderful characters. I love to feel empathy and be reminded that we all have sorrows, but we can overcome them. kindness and forgiveness are two of the strongest super powers there are.

A CLEAN romance

This is the second of Sarah's books that I have read (listened to) and it is such a pleasure to have a romance novel that is clean and full of character. Each of the characters are full of surprises due to a life twisted between the English and the Irish. Can the HATE between the two be bridged by a blind woman?
It did take a little slowing down of the readers speed to get use to the ascent, but I did enjoy this book so much that I have gone through it twice.

A true “Our Town”

This book makes me laugh, then cry. The characters feel like a real town of people that you come to know. I love all of Sara’s books, but this series has really touched my heart. The narrator is wonderful.

Wow!

One of the sweetest stories I've ever heard! So beautifully written. Awesome sense of humor. Challenge, heartache, dreams, character, courage and laughter so beautifully intertwined. Highly recommend! The narrator is amazing! How she manages to bring to life so many characters in such a distinct, flawless way I'll never know!

Wonderful to the last page!

This book did NOT disappoint! I loved Tavish from the very beginning of the Hope Springs series and I'm so happy he got his own story. Cecily is such a strong character yet human and relatable. I could listen to this story over and over again!

Great character development

I came to care about the characters and want to read more about them. The narrator’s voice dropped very low at times which, with the accents (which were well done), made hearing her words a bit difficult.
