A nervous bride hears her mother recount meeting her father

I had a hard time liking the main character. She seemed pretty helpless and I felt the narrators voice even conveyed that idea. I did enjoy all the fun British tidbits.

Love story full of intrigue

Story: 4.5

Wow! That book was a roller coaster of uncertainty. It was a really good plot and kept pulling me deeper and deeper into the intrigue and wondering if our heroine would ever escape! Well-done, Ms. Burton!

(I took away half a star because there are some detailed descriptions that do absolutely nothing to further the plot or to help us delve deeper into a character. They aren’t bad, or anything, just superfluous.)

Narrator: 4 stars

Very good voice, good inflections, good cadence. I’d happily listen to this narrator again! Well-done, Ms. Kaye

Wonderful

This was a great listen. It kept you wondering what is next. The characters and storyline were great. It kept me wanting more an to see what was next. Wondering who was who and what the end would be. It was clean and sweet. I recommend it to all. I received it as an arc and this is my voluntary review.

Little crazy

The story is good and well written. the characters are well created.
The narrator is ok little slow for me and sometimes little whiny but the female character is a little whiny sometimes so I can forgive the narrator.
The heroine meets a nice guy not quite a Fabio but funny and they can talk about anything. She sees another guy who is more for the eye and things start to happen. Who is the crazy one and who is the hero. you will have to listen to know how it ends. 😏

thrilling romance

An enjoyable fun thrilling romance suspense. This engaging storyline had me on the edge of my seat. This was wonderfully narrated with a great job done with each character and their personalities. A slow build story causing me not to know who I wanted to like till each was truly revealed. This is the first I have listened to from the author and I am interested in more with great possibilities.

If you are looking for a clean romance story this might be for you.

I did find the story slow at parts and I did find it was ok but good enough for me to keep listening.

(3.5 stars) - the path to true love via crazy

Audrey meets Tom, and is somewhat attracted to him... sort of. Her uncertainty and well-meaning efforts to be kind lead her to encourage him more than she should. Really she's too wishy-washy. But Tom is increasingly possessive and overwhelming and creepy.

Jack is more of a down to earth kind of guy who Audrey was physically attracted to the moment she saw him, so when she meets him unexpectedly, she's almost instantly smitten - with Tom present (which was not the nicest thing). She tries to let Tom down easy, but he clings more than ever, & she begins to realize something's not quite right with him...

*Clean romance level: passionate kisses
