Good not great.....

I get the feeling that perhaps one of the authors of these stories may or may not have been left at the altar since someone got dumped in each story. Also, they are written with 20 something age group in mind, I think. At any rate, not the best quality in writing, narrating (although she isn't bad) editing, production (gaps in recording, skipping).

Okay, I admit that this isn't my usual pick but audiobooks are expensive and my love for them overrides my budget. It seems to me that Audible puts books from the "B" list in the Plus Catalog -- good but lacking or falling short of the excellent mark. Soooo....as I said, good filler stories until I get my next credit or until Audible comes up with a better promotional offer.

Good

Some were better than others and I didn’t LOVE any of them, but they were all enjoyable enough.

One of the worst narrators I’ve ever heard

The stories are short but sweet... however, when you find yourself having to go back 30 seconds on more then one occasion simply because you stop paying attention to the actual words due to the narration being just so awful that that is all you can think about, well that just stinks. Let’s take the final story of Colton & Jenny. When the book specifically describes Colton as having a deep voice or throaty sound, shouldn’t the narrator try not to make him sound like a slightly more masculine version of Kermit the Frog? The female voices were ok, but not fantastic. The male voices were just terrible & don’t get me started on the voice of Teagan, she’s from Australia but there wasn’t a single moment where I felt like her accent was conveyed.

Good Purchase.

I enjoyed all 4 stories. Each with a happily ever after. All of the stories were short. I think I enjoyed the second and third the most because it seemed to have more of a story. The first was okay, the male lead was an alpa male but good for the female. I feel like there was some unanswered questions about his brother but the couples story ended well and plays a cameo in book 3. The second story was a hate to love story, but once the connection was made they we all in. The third story is perhaps my favorite. It felt like a more complete story than the others and who doesn't like a man who chases after you to those depths. Book four was like, hmmm, not sure how to describe it. It didn't seem to complicated of a story but alot of self reflection and touching thoughtful moments as the bride processes her life while in her wedding dress. I think there was a discrepancy as to who announced the wedding canceled in book one vs book 4. Anyway, it was worth the listen. I found this 4 book set after listening to book one as a stand a lone. Go for the set.

Love Me, Cowboy

In this collection of cowboys finding love there is four books each written by a different author but the characters interweave through each story. Though standalone books are connected by the women in the stories.
Tempt Me, Cowboy , by Megan Crane Was Chelsea's chance at true love. Her siblings have long left the small town where they grew up. She is left to take care of her domineering mother. She has dated but they all ended without commitments. Now she meets Jasper the newest member of the town and resident rich cowboy. Will her walk on the wild side with him end like all the others or will she get her own happy ending?
Marry Me, Cowboy , by Lilian Darcy Here is the exception to the above note. Teagan is not from this town or country. She is from Australia and is needing a green card to be able to stay in the US to compete on the rodeo circuit. The man ear marked for the deal left her at the altar. Now Jamie steps up and tosses his hat into the ring. Will she take him up on the offer or will she just go back to the place that she doesn't call home anymore?
Promise Me, Cowboy , by CJ Carmichael Dawson is back in town and Sage wants nothing to do with him. He broke her heart five years ago when she finds out that he was married. Now he is in town with his little girl. Can she keep away long enough for the rodeo to leave? What's happening when he sets down roots there in her town? Why won't he leave her alone? And why is he still married? The answers and more are in the story.
Take Me, Cowboy , by Jane Porter Two people who grew up on the other side of the tracks make good...maybe. Jenny is back in town to celebrate her wedding with her family and friends. But on the day of the wedding her groom is a no show. Born with a silver spoon groom leaves her. I couldn't stand him. Colton is back in town for the rodeo and sees what happened. They both share a history of being on the other side of the track living. He left years ago and made it big on the rodeo circuit and now live in Tulsa. But he doesn't remember her. When memories come to the surface can these two people make new and better memories together? Or will her runaway groom get his second chance?
I enjoyed listening to the stories and look forward to getting more.

Some better than others

I was okay with these stories overall. I had already listened to Sage and Dawson’s story so it isn’t included in this review. My main complaint is that these stories lack depth. I think the authors tried, but the set up just didn’t work. In other ways they were slow and drawn out build ups with too fast conclusions for my taste. I think the narration was quite good but I can only give the package a 4.2
