Amanda Stevens hasn't had an easy life. Her parents are both dead. The only man she ever loved died before their wedding. She works a mundane job, lives in her childhood home, and hasn't gone to a party since shoulder pads were in style. But all that is about to change.

A single act of selflessness drives her out in her father's old boat, late at night and in the middle of a storm. She's on her way to rescue someone but when she lands in the past, she finds a new life, a new love, a new Amanda. The only problem is that she can't stay, he can't go, and if the war has anything to say about it, the island they're marooned on will be wiped off the map.

This audiobook has a lot of potential. The story is interesting and the voice pleasant but unfortunately the editing is not what it should be. There are a lot of mistakes and repetitive words and sometimes sentences. The issues don’t improve as the book progresses, as a matter of fact, it gets worse towards the last 1/3 of the book. There seems to be missing words/sentences and overlap in narration. I don’t think I have ever encountered overlap of voices before where I could not understand what was being said because of the multiple narrations on top of each other. I hope they can fix the narration because the story line has great potential and the story is bittersweet with time-crossed lovers.

Good story but audio needs to be edited or redone!

This might be an ok book but listening to it got very difficult. The storyline started getting confusing and then the sound and sentences started messing up. She was talking over herself, repeating herself and skipping through sentences. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

Story and sound is all messed up
