Okay, but not as good as other Julie James books

Maybe I got spoiled reading Julie James' other books, but this one was just not as good as her previous books. The characters were very likable, but very predictable. The younger half brother wasn't in my opinion a believable or realistic character. Overall this is a pleasant read, but her prior books are a much better bet.

A proper adult Romance

What a lovely, easy read. I loved the characters, enjoyed the witty banter, appreciated the wonderful friendships, and really took pleasure in the development of the romance between Brooke and Cade. So mature, so adult, so natural. Nothing forced or inauthentic.

The audiobook is great if a bit slow paced at 1x. I listened to it at 1.5x speed and it was perfect (for me).

Can't get enough of this series!

Fun, witty characters who draw you into their lives and steal your heart . A well flowing story with a narrator who performs each character exquisitely and keeps your attention throughout the story. Two workaholics with issues to resolve and important choices to make to decide what happens next in their life. I'm so looking forward to listening to the next book in this incredible series!

His & Her Lawyers

Generally, I have enjoyed this series about attorneys and agents - not overtly violent yet suspenseful with engaging characters. Cade's FBI agent character was established in prior books but Brooke, a corporate lawyer was introduced in an interesting way - very clever!

Love Irresistibly had drama, humor, romance, sex (explicit but not violent or degrading), friendship & families issues. I thought Brooke's friend Ford was a riot and proof that men & women can be close yet platonic friends.

While I really admired the character Brooke, I was disappointed that a smart woman would not realize sooner the difference between having a successful career and allowing work to ruin her quality of life. What was the point of earning a huge salary if she was too busy to spend time with friends, family or a sexy guy?

Cade was my idea of a real man, a public servant whose masculinity was not threatened by a strong, smart professional woman. He was supportive, caring, protective (but not dominating) and sexy - the whole package.

Ready For Next Installment

Great, entertaining and the performance was well done as well. My only issue is that I wish the author had mentioned the previous characters a little more. But it wasn't there story, so.... No matter, as I noted, I am ready for the next installment. When Ms James?

Although this one didn't have as much action from bad guys as the others-it was by no means a downer in the series! Great chapter for a character that was possibly frowned upon in the last book - a simply must to continue!

Great Humor and Developed Story!

I love that story is has romance, fantastic humor, James' trademark snappy dialogue and a touching story of abandonment, forgiveness and new beginnings. I love how James keeps the prior stories connected and give updates on what's happening with her books previous characters!

Great Series

Where does Love Irresistibly rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book ranks up at the top of the audiobooks that I have listened to. This particular book in this series ranks the highest in my opinion. The story just grips you. I have listened to this audiobook several times and it still gets me. This book is very well written. I love how this story covers deep emotions ranging from life long friendships that were forged from childhood to overcoming hardships and discovering happiness in life.

Better than most

What does Karen White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You get a real feeling for the character, you like or hate them. When reading you are not
as engaged in the individual people.

This series is great, in that the plots are all different but still similar in theme. Interesting
people with interesting problems. Great listen.

Back On Track!

After the dismal previous book, I took a chance and got this one and have no regrets. Brooke Parker is the legal counsel for a restaurant company, and the US attorney needs her help. Being a smart business woman, Brooke agrees to play ball. The chemistry between her and Cade, the US attorney, is undeniable. Of course things don't go as they plan, the twists and turns adds to the fun.
I enjoyed this one, definitely worth a credit.
