Publisher's summary

Lost in Me is the first book in the Here and Now trilogy, a spin-off of the New York Times and USA Today best-selling New Hope series. It is not a stand-alone and is intended to be enjoyed with books two and three, Fall to You and All for This.

The last thing I remember is having drinks at Brady's and trying to avoid eye-contact with my life-long crush - the gorgeous, unattainable Maximilian Hallowell. They tell me that was a year ago, but I have no memories of anything since then. What I do have is this ring on my finger that Max says he gave me, and this much-thinner body I've dreamed of most of my life. Aside from a case of retrograde amnesia, everything seems almost... perfect.

But the deeper I immerse myself into this new world of mine - planning a wedding to a man I don't remember dating, attempting to run a business I don't remember starting - the clearer it becomes that nothing is as it seems. Do I have the life I've always wanted or is it a facade propped up by secrets I don't even know I have?

I need answers before I marry Max, and the only person who seems to have them is the angry, tatted, sexy-as-sin rocker Nate Crane. And Nate wants me for himself.

Lost in Me is not a standalone novel, as the story continues in Here and Now book two, Fall to You.

Fascinating Plot~ Kept Me Guessing!

What a twist on the common amnesia story line. I was absolutely enthralled with the entire book. The narrator, the characters and the plot continued to develop throughout. I could not put it down! Already purchased next in the series and will be encouraging my book club members to read/listen with whispersync!

Amazing Love Triangle!!!

Would you listen to Lost in Me again? Why?

Yes, because it is an amazing story that draws you in from the very first page.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lost in Me?

Trying to figure out what was happening in the story and where Lexi Ryan was taking the story.

What does Piper Goodeve bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She lets me experience the book from a different perspective. You can just listen to the story and you see things in a different way than if you were to just read it.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This book will leave you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails waiting to find out what happens next.

Any additional comments?

This is an amazing trilogy. You will love all the characters in this book that you will be sad that it ends.

Excellent Story and Excellent Narration

The author, Lexi Ryan, did a great job developing the plot. The story was impossible to put down. The build up was detailed even though she jumped from today to previous times. It wasn't hard to keep up with the story. Lexi developed the characters with enough detail to completely understand where they fit in the book. She wrote the love triangle so well that while reading it, I just didn't know which one Hannah should choose. The narrator was awesome. She has such a versatile voice that each character was easily identified. Just disappointed that it was a cliffhanger. I had to turn around and immediately buy the next book, so I could find out what happened and how Hannah got there. Still enjoyed this book and look forward to the next two in the series.

Be Ready to get LOST in Hanna's Story

Lexi Ryan tells a fantastic story in Lost in Me and Piper Goodeve brings Ryan's words to life with her emotional narration of Hanna's flashbacks and current situation. Piper allows listeners to experience the aftermath of Hanna's accident, her frustration over her missed memories, her feelings for two men who seem to both adore her, and her heartache as things become clearer, and truths are exposed that Hanna might wish had stayed lost in a way that we feel everything Hanna's feeling and can't help but be wrecked by her reactions.

Hanna is a very relatable character to a lot of readers. All of her life, she has struggled with her weight, which immensely lowers her self esteem. She has never felt good enough due to her mother’s comments and the beautiful people who surround here. Her life seems too good to be true and perhaps it is because as Hanna slowly regains her memory, secrets and truths are revealed that send her life spiraling out of control. When the final puzzle pieces are put in place, who will Hanna choose and how will she move on, knowing that her life will never be the same?

Lost in Me is a fantastic read and listening experience. I love how Lexi Ryan presents Hanna’s memories as flashbacks, so we, as readers and as listeners of Piper's narration, experience them right along with her. As Hanna is trying to solve the mystery of the last eleven months, all of her thoughts and emotions are shown clearly through Lexi Ryan’s explanations. Where Hanna’s story is going to go is anyone’s guess because readers are left with a bit of a cliffhanger but one thing is for sure, it’s going to be a hell of a ride…with two love interests, a memory not fully learned, and a variety of other complications, there is still a lot to be revealed, and I, for one, can't wait to see how it all plays out.

I definitely hope Piper Goodeve continues to narrate Hanna's story because she does a great job!

Drags on and on

Could have wrapped up the series in 1 maybe 2 books. Disappointing when authors do this.

Lost in Me is a Must Listen!

If you could sum up Lost in Me in three words, what would they be?

Hanna Loves Who?

What other book might you compare Lost in Me to and why?

Lexi has a writing style all her own. It translates to well to audio.

What does Piper Goodeve bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I read Lost in Me before listening on Audible. Piper delivers Hanna's story in just the right tone.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Hanna and Nate are by the river and she finds out who he is to her for the first time. Nate...sigh...

Any additional comments?

I've read all of the books in the Here and Now trilogy. I can't wait to listen to the other two!!

a different story line from the rest

So I want to start off by saying that this is nice to have a different story line than the same as every other book out there. Most books have the same story line just change characters a bit as you go, but not this one. She has an accident that makes it so she can't remember the last 11 months of her life. Then she finds out that she was engaged, only to find out that it is not everything she originally though it was. Heads up, this does end in a cliff hanger. Honestly, I don't know how she can go along with having a wedding in such a short time frame when she doesn't even remember being with him romantically, but ever person is different which is why it is OK for her to accept that. I know if I was in her place, EVERYTHING would be put on hold until I could see if I am still a match. Plus, there were a lot of things that didn't add up for her, but she just went along with it for her mothers sake. Can't say I haven't been there before. The need she feels to be accepted by her mother out weighs pretty much everything. Overall, the book is good. I have already finished the second book in the series and am glad they decided to go with a male narrator with the female as I prefer that way, but I have yet to finish he final book.
