A smart and sassy heroine makes her debut in a compelling new mystery series from the best-selling co-author of The Botox Diaries and Mine Are Spectacular!

Lacy Fields is the wife of a prominent Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, a dedicated mother of three, and an absolutely fabulous decorator to the stars. But when her husband is accused of slaying a young wannabe actress, Lacy finds out she has a killer instinct for hunting down murderers as well as antique furniture.

Cleverly marrying the day-to-day foibles of family life with delicious insider glamour, Looks to Die For takes readers behind the scenes of a fashionable world of gossip, name-dropping, and murder. This suspense-meets-shopping thriller signals the arrival of a savvy and stylish new voice.

I am fairly intrigued by the story, but the author's relentless dropping of names and brands that are supposed to impress is nauseating!! It is sophmoric and completely unnecessary to the plot. I would have stopped listening, but I want to reach the end. Puhleeze refrain in your next book from describing every item with a designer/ brand that is only enjoyed by the elite in this country. It diminishes your work.

This was a waste of a credit. I did not get beyond chapter 3. Half of the dialogue is about brand names. If you want to describe someone's outfit, tell me the cut or length of the dress. I don't have to know that it's Chanel. The writing was cheesy and unrealistic. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.
