Quick clean western romance
I really enjoyed this short novel :-) Barbara Goss has a lot of good mail order bride romances- and while this is probably not my very favorite it was a good quick listen. I liked the characters, and I appreciated the way that they changed and grew throughout the story. I also appreciated the historical details thrown in Which added more depth to the story. I will definitely listen to more of her mail order romances!

Great book!
Fiona is running away from a terrible situation where she does the unthinkable. Her only option is to go west and to get lost in a new city and new life. She changes her life and now needs to change her name to fully escape.
Sam is a man who wants to love and be loved so he orders a mail order bride only to be told by another woman that his bride will not be coming. His family sees that this pretty messenger needs a safe place to start a new life, but does he know about all of her past?
Fiona and Sam both have secrets and pasts that will ultimately catch up to them. Will those secrets ruin both lives and the budding love that is starting to form? Will they learn to trust in each other and stand together or walk away?
Barb does another great job in her storytelling! Tom Jordan's narration brings Barb's story to life! I enjoyed this book very much and look forward to the next book!

Christian Historical Fiction
This was a cute short novel of Christian fiction by Barbara Goss. Her characters are always well drawn out . I like that the author give us background into each character. We have Fiona who is running from the law. Sam and Martin Jordan who she meets in Hayes on her train ride west. Sam is expecting another woman to be his mail order bride. There were quite a few twists and turns in this one. I enjoyed Tom Jordan's narration of the book also.
Recommend for those that like clean romance and historical christian fiction.

Love this series!
Listening to a book, sometimes it is easy to get distracted, rewind and listen again. This book was is so easy to listen to and the story so entertaining, you don't miss a thing first time around. Barbara Goss has given the mail order bride genre a slight twist with the misdeliveries, and Fiona Sullivan is definitely misdelivered. After fleeing her home in Boston, she boards a train, befriending a woman who is supposed to be meeting Sam,her groom to be. This never happens, and the groom's information is given to Fiona. Never intending to stay, Fiona stops in Hayes and is going to let the Sam know that he will not be getting married. So the story begins. This family Fiona meets, with Addie, Sam's mom and Martin, Sam's brother are warm and inviting. Sam, not so much, so the question comes down to, will Sam and Fiona fall in love? Will Fiona's past get in her way of happiness? Will Sam's? Love the way this story plays out, with all it's loving banter, jealous lovers, and murder mystery.
Keeping those earbuds in is the smooth, baritone voice of Tom Jordan. Relatively new to the scene for me, Tom is able to easily distinguish between characters and create a world you fall into. His voice is pure romance.

I love this series
It just goes to show that when you do something its best to take responsibility for it rather than running away from the consequences which are sure to haunt you.
Fiona chose to run and until she faced what she had done and taken ownership of her actions, she couldn't find peace of mind.
I loved the acknowledgment of love by both Fiona and her husband. It was so touching.
I will admit to being a true fan of Barbara Goss' writing. She is so talented and keeps you glued to the very end of each of her stories.
Tom Jordan has once again narrated the story and done a great job of it.
I am really enjoying this particular series and look forward to listening to some more of them.

Clean romance with a mystery
I liked this book. It has romance, suspense and mystery. This one is slightly different compared to the authors other book. I loved the mystery and how Sam tried to free Fiona by solving the murder. The narrator is also good, I could distinguish between the characters without being told who was saying what.
I would recommend this book to those who love clean romance.
