Critic reviews

"Kirsten Potter narrates a dark plot involving the brutal murder of an entire family, except for the eldest daughter, Roxy.... During the search for Roxy Baez, Potter's empathetic reading of Roxy's essays on the perfect family deepen the listener's emotional connection, demonstrating how pitch and cadence can enrich a story. Listeners will enjoy Potter's Boston accent, too. Filled with passion and suspense, this cleverly plotted mystery is heartbreaking and eye-opening." (AudioFile)

Great story, So so narration

Gardner always delivers a well crafted story and is always enjoyable. This narrator generally does a good job, but with two equally important female roles in this book, varying the voice is necessary, and she didn't. It was very difficult to tell who was talking because of that. Also, its jolting how sarcastic a tone she delivered to DD Warren...a tone not obvious from the surrounding text. It makes the character extremely unlikable, and whiny.

Very Good

The narrator was very good, easy transition from character to character. Storyline flowed well from one event to the next, also building upon characters who could be featured in future books

Best mystery of this series so far!

I have been reading this series for a couple of months now. And I think that this one is the hardest to figure out the killer. Lots of players lots of twist and lots of information. I absolutely love Lisa Gardner she is my favorite author because of her ability to make me feel involved in the book.

Excellent Thriller Read To Perfection

Kirsten Potter is one of the best narrators ever. Her reading performance was excellent and brought Lisa Gardner’s LOOK FOR ME to life from beginning to end. I highly recommend the story and reader.

Another installment with D.D. Warren

Unfortunately, when I first started this one, I didn't realize it was the 9th in the D.D. Warren series. That being said, I still really enjoyed the murder mystery. It's told from alternating perspective of D.D. Warren, a Boston Police Detective, and Flora Dane, a survivor of 472 day kidnapping and now a vigilante. The writing was great and really sucked me in with the story of a domestic homicide whodunit. I will look forward to reading the earlier novels so that I can better understand the character development.
