Un-put-downable!!!

I eagerly anticipated the release of this novel, and was not disappointed! I devoured it in a day and a half, as I literally could not stop listening. Catherine Steadman is a highly intelligent, creative, clever writer and just when you think you know what happens next…you don’t. Bravo!!!

Different!

This story is a little different from the other psychological nail-biters. There are good cliff hangers which make it hard to stop listening. Great voice actor, too.

Always enjoy her books and love her voice - captures everything perfectly! Great plot twists; was always trying to figure it out!

I didn't see it coming.

The story was interesting and had a subtle way of gently grabbing you, slowly pulling you in, and not letting go. The ending and epilogue were awesome and unexpected. The performance was exceptional and I most definitely will listen again.

Surprise! Story-line!

For me it dragged on thinking it was going to make sense ... to me, and I could enjoy. Finished book but won't re-read this one Catherine.

I could not stop reading!

I don’t read many thriller books, but Catherine Steadman is my absolute favorite and once I read Something in the Water, I now read everything she writes. This book was heart pounding and did not disappoint. Her narration is also perfect and brings the story to life in a breathtaking way.

As before, I'm blown away by Catherine Steadman's dual talents as author and narrator of “Look in the Mirror: A Novel.” Her writing is exquisite, weaving complex subplots into a bizarre and captivating adventure. As narrator, Steadman's vocal tones are phenomenal. The novel follows two intriguing women: Nina, a grieving daughter who inherits a mysterious vacation home from her father, and Maria, a former medical student turned nanny for the super-rich. As Nina digs into her father's secrets and Maria's curiosity gets the better of her, the story unfolds into a thrilling exploration of identity, class, and the darkness beneath seemingly perfect facades. Bingeable!

Great story, awesome narrator, kept me going and I finished in a day! It’s been getting more and more difficult to find an audiobook that has a fun, thrilling story that catches my attention and holds it, and also has a great narrator. This one has it all. It may not be the most unique story, but it was a fun read!

Crazy unpredictable twists

I always love a Catherine Steadman novel and narration. You know that she is reading it exactly as it is meant to be read and it is always impeccable. I’ve never been disappointed by a storyline and this novel does not disappoint! Twists that you never see coming even until the very last page! I was hooked and listened in a matter of hours. Loved it!
