Publisher's summary

I suppose some of us have to get really dirty before we can become truly clean.

I was allegedly South Dakota's most famous Old Lady. Sixteen years ago, I had survived my Old Man's murder.

Never again. Never again will I surrender my heart. Never again will I sacrifice to the Club. But that all changed in one night. I came home and crashed into him, and my past and present blew up in my face. Both of us lonely, running on empty, and unwilling to admit it.

Until now. Now I feel things I'd forgotten about, want things I'd cut out of my insides.

Love not only stings when you lose it, when it's ripped away. When it first sinks its teeth into you, it can cut just as raw and sting just as deep. I'd forgotten that.

Who holds the keys to betrayal? To suspicion? To trust? To brotherhood? To family? To redemption and a bleeding heart? Right now, I just might.

Lock & key

This biker romance book was really good! There were interesting situations and some down right distasteful moments. I really want to read the next book in the series.

Lock & Key

This was probably wildest, craziest ride to go on. There were so many ups, downs, twists, and turns. At times I was a little confused with the back and forth from present to past, but overall it was an entertaining story.
Lucy Rivers and Vikas Adam were wonderful narrators. I enjoyed listening to them.

Loved This Audiobook!

I loved this book tremendously. It was a highly emotional book and provoked a produce depth of feeling. Although this book can be listened to as a stand-alone it has way deeper emotions if listened in order of the series. This book is primarily from Grace’s point of view of her love story with Dig. Even though the first two books from this series is the love story of Grace and Locke it also tells of Grace and Dig’s love story. Grace and Dig fell in love and was living their HEA when Dig was murdered. Grace and Dig’s past impacts Grace and Locke in a variety of way. Grace and Locke has so much they had to overcome as individuals and as a couple. The narration was excellent and enhanced the story. They conveyed the deep emotions needed as this audiobook is an intensely emotional book. It is different from any other MC book I have ever read in some ways but still has the core of what makes an excellent MC romance in my opinion. I cannot recommend this book enough. It is a must listen. I am so glad I bought the audio version instead of having read it as it had a deeper impact listening to it. Highly highly recommend you listen to it. If you have already read it this will just enhance the experience but if you are listening to it instead of having read it you won’t be disappointed.

The story. There was so much emotion in each character. Very well written.

Loved entire book. Story line was different than the majority of MC books. Have read twice.

Lock found his key

After a long time i picked up a biker romance. I'm not big fan cause the terms used to address women, their general degrading role in MC world, the sheer dominance and disregard for their opinions is a huge put off.
But I really enjoyed listening to this audio book.
The plot has all the basic infrastructure of a biker club. There's brash hikers using drugs freely.
There's old ladies and club-hores. There's free sex and orgies. There's obviously illegal activities and the staple stripper club.
Betrayals and double dealingsn are the central point of the story.
Grace has returned to her "old lady" roots in One-Eyed Jacks club because her sister Ruby has cancer and needs bone marrow transplant. Leaving her husband and child in anguish. She indulges in a night of hot sex with Miller who she meets in a bar.
Turns out he's a "brother" and named Lock.

"Real life is messy and strange, and our ride through it left plenty of bruises, slashed hearts, a few lifeless bodies, and blood and smoke in its wake. But it’s our story, this rather mangled tale."

The formulaic stuff happens and I had hard time getting the connection between Miller and Grace. In fact her and her ex husband Digs had more connection, even Butler for that matter
Nice story, Lucy Rivers had narrated wonderfully. So has Vikas Adam, just needs to relax his throat more and be not too clipped at words.
4 stars for Lock found his Key

Prepare for a book hangover

This one left me so emotional. I literally cried sometimes because I really felt for Grace. I admired her courage, honesty and strength. I also liked that he was in her late 30s/ early 40s and that this was about finding love again after loss. When I finished this one, I immediately went and read the sequel (as the audiobook hadn't been made yet), and then the next book and the next book. I can't wait until they are available on audible. It was so hard for me to let go of these characters because they were so complex. However, I'm going to admit that I liked Dig more than Miller. Miller was great but I was really captivated by Grace's past and her relationship with her deceased husband. This story is really gritty and messy and pretty tragic but it was captivating.

We hear more from Grace than we do Miller. I think that Lucy Rivers was a good choice for Grace, Vikas Adam was okay but maybe Joe Arden or Aiden Snow would have been a better fit.

AN MC ROMANCE WHERE SPARKS FLEW & DANGER LOOMED

Since the violent and bloody death of her MC husband sixteen years ago Grace has been living a nomadic life bouncing from one town to another - never staying anywhere long enough to make friends, put down roots.. or to find a new love. But a phone call from her sister Ruby changes all that because Ruby has shocking news that will bring Grace home.. and it will also eventually bring love back into Grace's life. However, it will come at a price - and the price will be tough, challenging, dangerous, heartbreaking, twisted and it'll take her walking back into somewhere she vowed never to go there again.. the One Eye'd Jacks MC Clubhouse where faces from her past will stir up more than happy memories.. trouble.

Lock (aka Miller) is the Road Captain for the One Eye'd Jacks MC and, while at a local Bar, he sees a beautiful confident woman drinking alone so he happily steps up, introduces himself and finds out, through flirty banter and hot body to body dancing, that they have great chemistry together. This attraction leads to spending one sizzling night together.. but sadly for Lock in the morning she's gone. Lock was about to be further shocked because he knew he'd seen her beautiful face before.. he just didn't realize where from and, when the mysterious, sex woman calmly walk into HIS Clubhouse the next day, the mystery was spectacularly solved and it would send him, and the older members of the Club, reeling. It would also be the start of a challenging romance where he would have to knock down Grace's walls, uncover well hidden secrets, be a shoulder to cry on, carry out his manipulative President's chilling orders, tread carefully when a rival Club kidnaps Grace, act on unwanted twists and overcome his jealous nature before there could ever be a chance of a future with Grace.

This is told in the present but with flashback chapters of Grace's past when she was a much revered Old Lady to her husband Dig and everyone else's beloved ’Little Sister'. She's a strong likeable kickass heroine who'd already been challenged in life with the tragedy that hit her and her husband hard.. but her challenges were far from over. A good looking, sweet, sexy, droolworthy, understanding, compassionate alpha hero who wants to love his woman.. but instead he has to sit back and watch as she's used like a sexual pawn to flush out secrets from their rivals the Demon Seeds MC. The plot was detailed, enjoyable and all consuming as Grace and Miller try to forge out a relationship during very difficult times and, for them, it was one step forward three steps back at times. And during those times there was plenty of sex, beautiful highs and crushing lows that would inevitably break them apart.. but don't worry - their fates were destined to be entwine forever.. eventually. Grace was in her late 30s and Miller was 40 - so grown up attitudes not YA or NA. Mainly told from Grace's POV but there were chapters from Lock's too, a host of secondary characters and the narration was great.

Worth a credit? Not quite as raw, dirty, violent or all dirty talking badboy Alpha as some of the MC books I've listened too but that wasn't a bad thing.. just different and YES, IMO, this is definitely a creditworthy listen.

Sweet and Fierce

This book blew me away. It is so full of awesome characters, terrific storylines, emotions and the romance of a lifetime MC style. Listening to Sister and Dig fall in love while she battles for a new love is like candy. Every character has a story and Cat Porter is not stingy with the dirt and details. The narrators were great. This book is just all around entertaining.
