A pleasant stroll down memory lane.

I was born in 1990 and grew up playing and loving video games. This book perfectly captures feelings and ideas in those times of gaming. Flandrew approached very vivid moments from childhood that I had long forgotten but as soon as he breathed life into talking about Christmas or Birthday Party sleepovers, that feeling took me over. Flandrew expertly nails each milestone of my childhood. Informative for those born outside of this era, and nostalgic for those from within. Good book to listen to with kids to show them how the conveniences of gaming have only become more and more in their favor, while I can still pull out my old systems to share with them.

Nostalgic Trip

Loved the book. Great autobiography and Flandrew is always great at painting a picture that helps you feel like you are there or remind you how it felt those days growing up huddled around your GBA SP. Or the fun it was busting out the Wii with your friends and trying to show off your skills or be impressed by that one friend with secret skills. Hope he makes a follow up novel one day, but will continue loving his content on YouTube in the meanwhile!
