A High-Stakes Battle for Every Christian

Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, "Take heed that no one deceives you" (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become an increasingly challenging task—even in the church.

We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid.

Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and how you can discern the difference. From pastor Jack Hibbs, you'll learn the characteristics of deceivers and how they have brought harm to both secular culture and the church; the many deceptions that are altering and replacing the truth, and how to recognize them; and the keys to standing strong as the spiritual battles surrounding us intensify.

The greatest antidote to deception is truth. Equip yourself now to grow in discernment so that you can protect yourself from error and remain steadfast in your faith!

Amazing Book

I recently discovered Pastor Jack by accident watching a YouTube video. I saw him pop up as the next video, The title was intriguing so I watched him. Then I discovered his book. This book is so relevant to the times we are living in. I found this book informative and encouraging. I will buy this book in hard back so I can loan it to my family and friends to read. I pray they will buy their own copy to loan out. This message needs to go out far and wide.
Jesus is coming soon.

Why didn't Jack read it?

Almost unbearable to listen to. Pacing and intonation of the reader almost made me return the book despite the excellent content. Ended up speeding it up to eliminate the dramatic pauses to some degree and suffered through it. I am sure I missed some of the content as a result.

Jack, please read your own book next time.

Great subject matter, not so great delivery.

Jack Hibbs is a great teacher and pastor. His book is relevant, timely and important to today’s believers. Unfortunately, the delivery of the material did not reflect Jack’s style or material. The breathy, over dramatized delivery was annoying and completely distracted from the content. Very unfortunate.

The narrator

The narrator was very boring. I had to do the audio because of vision problems or I would have read it. This guy did not go with Jack’s personality.

Truth

Loved it so much. Highly recommend this book. Jack Hibbs is a wonderful pastor of a church I frequently listen to and watch on tv. Referencing other books to read was very informative as well

What’s really true

In the “ daze” we now live in, our need for God‘s Word and prayer. Read through this precious book in two days but I will re-read it over and over. So much is packed into this one book. So grateful to Jack for sharing it.

Timely for our culture today

The narration was boring with a breathy delivery. Such a disappointment especially considering the dynamic speaking style of the author, Pastor Jack Hibbs. I returned this title. I suggest the Publisher, Harvest House, consider hiring a new narrator.

I’m glad I bought a hard copy. I use Audible because books are difficult for me to read easily without a lot of light.
