Since the beginning of time, mankind has been aware of a higher power, a cosmic energy, a light, a divine life force. Eastern philosophy may refer to it as Qi or prana, while many know it as “the source”, and movies like Star Wars refer to it as “The force”. East meets West, and spirituality meets science, as Dave brings together Eastern philosophies with modern science.

How do you get something out of nothing? It seems like an obvious question, one that drives everything from spiritual creation stories to our understanding of the big bang. Yet it leaves us with a sense that underneath everything lies emptiness and lack. We can phrase this question in a new way: How do we get something out of everything? In Leap to Wholeness, physics educator Sky Nelson-Isaacs explores the science of wholeness.

Story
We’ve all had those perfect moments when events that could never be predicted, let alone controlled, remarkably seem to guide us along our path. Carl Jung called this phenomena “synchronicity” - “a collaboration between persons and events that seems to enlist the cooperation of fate.” In this book, Joseph Jaworski argues that the right state of mind will make you the kind of person who can enlist the cooperation of fate and take advantage of synchronicity, creating the conditions for “predictable miracles.”

Publisher's Summary
Harness the principles of synchronicity and flow to live better, work smarter, and find purpose in your life
When we align with circumstance, circumstance aligns with us. Using a cutting-edge scientific theory of synchronicity, Sky Nelson-Isaacs presents a model for living "in the flow" - a state of optimal functioning, creative thinking, and seemingly effortless productivity.
Nelson-Isaacs explains how our choices create meaning, translating current and original ideas from theoretical physics and quantum mechanics into accessible, actionable steps that we can all take to live lives in better alignment with who we are and who we want to be.
By turns encouraging and empowering, Living in Flow helps us develop an informed relationship to meaning-making and purposefulness in our lives. From this we can align ourselves more effectively within our personal, professional, and community relationships to live more in flow.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.
Critic Reviews
“Many people have clarified a variety of interesting issues through the lens of the flow experience; few have done this more successfully than Sky Nelson-Isaacs, who uses flow to explain the mysteries of synchronicity.” (Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, author of Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience)
“With clear language, compelling stories and most of all, powerful science, Nelson-Isaacs lays out a comprehensive exploration of how we can come to understand the ‘patterns and commonalities between things that seem completely distinct.’ He is that rare author and thinker working to increase the coherence of things rather than simply promote a new view. Whether examining one’s personal or professional life, whether focused on science, spirituality, or leadership in their community, readers will find compelling insights to take away.” (Ann Betz, author of Integration: The Power of Being Co-Active in Work and Life and cofounder of BEabove Leadership)
“Meaningful history selection? Exactly what the world needs, and certainly what you can use to help you live in flow with the world’s events. Sky Nelson-Isaacs uses his engaging, clear-minded, scientifically informed prose to help you revolutionize the way you look at life, navigate your conscious experience, and shape the events that shape your life and the future of the planet.” (Julia Mossbridge, PhD, associate professor at California Institute of Integral Studies, author of The Calling)

Excellent Narration, Heady Concept
If you are a 9-5 office worker or project manager for a large company or who works regularly managing team to get things done then you will probably get more out of this book than I did. I enjoyed the musings of high-level, transcendental metaphysics and explorations and references to other modern philosophical works that previously went over my head. Nelson-Isaacs does a great job of breaking down these ideas and making them accessible and applicable. What lost me are applying these headier ideas to mundane middle-manager scenarios but that's likely because I don't have a mundane middle-manager existence and tend to work autonomously and be responsible for niche work... or that a lot of the application of this knowledge is somewhat common sense on my specific place in life, but may be a revelation to others who rarely consider applying philosophy to day-to-day interactions. I'm sure someone working their way up a corporate ladder or trying out a new professional venture or all of the above may glean great knowledge and insight from the examples but I preferred the concepts themselves and which there was a breakdown of more of them. The narrator is phenomenal and embodies the material well in a very conversational and down-to-earth tone for the otherwise abstract ideas and helps ground them in the physical world through his performance.

Just read Flow.
This text is nauseatingly repetitive pseudoscientific garbage that wastes time showering the audience with assurances and implications rather than forming real connections or providing models for the audience. Also, for something with “Flow” in the title that references “Flow” a whole lot, it seems to me like the author doesn’t actually play with Csikszentmihalyi’s framework but just kind of mentions it in a vaguely tangential way every now and then for clout.
I’m seriously bummed that I spent my money on this.

Great book! Still needs an edit in my opinion
Amazing book! Concept is really fresh/interesting. Could be a lot more impactful though. May benefit from another edit (bring all the stuff from part 2 up front) and create more metaphors so the average reader can understand them. The stuff in part 1 - all the examples of being a father/the me too movement could have benefited from some different examples to make it sound less self-helpy.
