Originally Got It For The Laughs

I love the Mass Effect Universe! And as I was purchasing audiobooks written about ME, I saw this one, read the overview, and thought to myself that this would indeed be a positively funny listen.

Thinking that perhaps the narration would be so over the top, while utilizing the self-help blueprint, and expecting a lot of laughs from the combination, I was pleasantly surprised at how it presented a very straight forward, as well as, an uplifting; encouraging tone.

I enjoy reading self-help, leadership, and growth principle books. To name a few: Developing The Leader Within You, Go-Giver, The One Thing. This audiobook briefly touched on creating vision for yourself so you have a destination that lines up with your goals and values (not to mention, shoot for what you believe to be a huge dream for you), failing forward, the outcomes and consequences of the choices you make, having the ability to change and morph your character to the way you see fit at any point in your life, and so much more. Given the theme and how short it is, it was very well thought and kudos to the excellent narration given. Simply empowering.

I will definitely relisten to this time-and-time again, and I'm sure that for those who enjoy the MEU will enjoy and come back to this every now-and-then as well.

Life Lesson from Mass Effect

I had an idea of how this book would be and it lived up exactly to it. Hearing the steps listed out and applied to reality really brought the concept of Living Life the Mss Effect Way home. A must read/listen for anyone and will be a charming addition for any Mass Effect veterans.

Good, but too short

Would have preferred something more than a collection of cliches. while uplifting, a bit of let down. had a lot of potential.
