Interesting book

I really liked the perspective of this book. Lincoln, of course, is the star. But, who ever thought that Zachary Taylor would get a nod in a Lincoln book? Not me. Other historical figures such as a Henry Clay, are also given their due as people Lincoln studied. A book worth listening.

Like Team of Rivals, this takes the angle of examining Lincoln from those around him, this time the men who shaped his politics. Great read!

this was the best book I ever read about Abraham Lincoln. It gave such a fresh and unique perspective of his life.

Looking at people who influenced Lincoln all his life and who were influenced by him. Insight into the person with empathy. Good listening.
