Very slow reader
I bought this to practice my French listening skills while also hearing this story because of the series that's coming out soon. Even as an intermediate level French listener, I had to turn the speed up because the reader pauses for like two seconds between each sentence. I am not sure if I will be able to stand listening to the next book in the series.

Great story, so-so narrator
My favourite fantasy-story, this first book in a long series is very Tolkien-inspired - if you are willing to forgive that you will find an exciting start to an epic tale filled with world-building.
Unfortunately this narrator is inferior to the excellent English narrators (Michael Kramer and Kate Reading) and even if he isn't awful at all I would recommend everyone check out the English narrators if language is not an issue.

problèmes techniques
La traduction est bon et le performance par Arnauld le Ridant est excellent. Malheureusement il souffre d'une mauvaise édition. Il y a beaucoup de fois durant ce livre que le narrateur arrête soudainement et recommence avec répétition de la phrase précédente. Il n'y a aucune pause a la fin de chaque chapitre - le début du chapitre suivant chevauche presque les derniers mots du chapitre précédent. C'est ennuyeux mais pas assez mauvais pour ruiner cette belle histoire.

A ma niveau de compréhension ce livre est difficil
Même si j'ai lu cet livre en anglais, avant essayer d'écouter cet version en français, les mots inconnues sont tellement nombreuses pour que je peux comprendre facilement.
