Publisher's Summary

Life as a plaything of the divines is harder than it sounds.

As one of the downtrodden in Eden’s Meadow, TJ has led a life of scraping by as best he could. With little more to his name than a winning smile, his life takes a turn for the interesting as he befriends Serina, a rebellious young woman among the godlike Devas that control his realm. Being a test subject for her magic seems innocent enough, even if she occasionally tinkers with things she shouldn’t.

Unfortunately, her experiments on him don’t go unnoticed, and as soon as her family finds out, he’s as good as dead. About to be pulped by dozens of angry higher powers, Serina saves him the only way she can: by binding his soul to hers and flinging him through a portal to another world.

Landing in the realm full of dangerous creatures and sinister adversaries, he finds that the pact has changed him in more ways than claiming his soul. The newly minted adventurer has his work cut out for him, especially since he doesn’t have any idea how to use the magic that’s been stuffed into him, much less what to do about the oaths that require him to love freely and spend his nights carousing.

Join TJ on this riveting adventure that spans multiple worlds and help him discover the secrets of the Devas as he struggles to survive and fulfill his oaths.

Disclaimer: This series features a protagonist raised in a higher realm where free love and indulgence are the norm and has a set of morals and ethics that are different from our own. While it contains explicit bits, they are clearly tagged and easily skippable, if that's not your thing. His story includes building harem-like relationships with multiple devoted women and does not fade to black. Also, this story is not game-lit, it doesn't feature crunchy rules-heavy systems, there's not a stat in the house, and the MC doesn't exploit world mechanics. However, it isn't for the faint of heart. For 18+ listeners only.

Really good!

Picked this up on a recommendation from friends. Wow, I was really blown away by how good this book was. The MC is likable and interesting. The overall storyline has started pretty strong with lots of potential to be epic. It has a litrpg aspect that hasn’t been explained yet. It’s there but the MC isn’t from a tech world so he doesn’t really understand what the other characters in the story are doing. Either way it’s not distracting but has potential. There are some adult “bow Chicka wow wow” parts that can be easily skipped if your not into that. The narrator did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life. Bravo! I really enjoyed this book. Smart writing, humorous, and not boring. I highly recommend giving it a listen. You won’t regret it.

Definitely a SovereignVerse fan

Good book. Too many references to randi/william books to make me think he's not a fan.

I'm really glad that I picked up this one.

I have zero regrets about this book. It is worth the credit. The narration by S.S was on point as expected. It really brought out the characters personality. good job to all involved with this production. Now we wait for book two.

Good start to a great series

Great characters and a well thought out story line. Just enough hanky panky to not ruin the story. Nice to see a strong hero that is not too goody goody and the weakest amongst his group. I look forward to the next installment.

good

Overall I think the story is pretty good and has nice pacing. It’s also not cringe like a lot of other harem books are.

Great start

Overall very enjoyable. I felt some of the situations towards the end of the book were forced and seemed an odd way to add more drama and tension. Looking forward to the next book.

pretty good dont let the title dissuade you.

so, just a observation, on one in their right mind would listen to a book out loud in a car or at a park that would offend the Nancy's and Ned's. so let's be real with really good narration the length of the book does not matter. so add the fun stuff and dive into the supporting roles. I can see where a few things were cut out of the book and it made it feel jumpy in the plot line. let it flow and all will be ok. that is the beauty of a great voice actor.
I have listened to the ten realms and spellmonger series a few times over. those are some really long titles. and they worked. I like your voice actor by the way. she has owned this title. some folks change in a series and it kills the series so be careful. and if you can fit in a duet or cast in one of your other titles that may work as well. to me a book is a movie in the minds eye.
