Publisher's Summary

The fire god demands I become his priestess...and take four mates.

I’ve secretly loved my four best friends ever since we were kids playing in the village together, but I can’t have them all - and there’s no way I can choose only one.

Blane, the town’s resident bad boy who I can’t seem to resist. Roth, the scarred hero who once broke my heart. Derel, the infuriatingly sexy man I’ve been betrothed to my entire life. And Falon, my best friend, who has never seen me as more...or has he?

When the fire god chooses me to be his high priestess, he demands I take four men to be my mates. Maybe I don’t have to choose after all...but will the men agree to give up everything to join me at the fire temple? And if they do, what challenges will we face once we arrive there?

Light the Fire is a stand-alone prequel to the Her Elemental Dragons series. It was previously published in the Realms & Rebels anthology.

Perfect addition to the series!

Light The Fire by Elizabeth Briggs is a prequel to the Her Elemental Dragons series. Calla is called upon the fire God to choose her 4 mates and become the priestess at the fire temple. I found this story well written and to contain important background information to the Elemental Dragons world. I enjoyed learning about Calla's history and really enjoyed this short story. A perfect addition to a great series!

Light the Fire

I received a copy of this book from the Author, in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This is a prequel to the Elemental Dragons series and it can be read as a standalone. However, if you are going to read this as part of this series I suggest you wait to finish the second book first. This installment gives the backstory of the Fire High Priestess and takes place 20 years before the first book in this series. This story also adds a little more background to this world. This is a super short and fast paced read. I can not make up my mind if it was just too short or if some of the information in it could have been added to the first two books.

Great intro to the series!

I have not read this series, but since I have enjoyed books by this author before, I decided to give it a go. This is a prequel to the rest of the series, and I decided to start with it rather than the first book in the Elemental Dragons series because I am strange like that, but it didn't disappoint. I like this introduction to the world in which the author has created and I love the fact that the narrator is the same as from her Seraphim Academy series. I really like this narrator and the amazing job she does of bringing the stories to life. I am now going to jump into the rest of the series and cannot wait to see what happens.

Excellent addition to the series

I'm usually on the fence about prequels as they often feel rushed, incomplete, or unessential, but this one is the exception. I absolutely loved Calla's backstory and the romance was everything. The story was well written and developed and Briggs achieved a good balance between the individual story and tying it in to the series. The narrator did an excellent job bringing life to each character's personality too. A great, quick read fans of the series shouldn't miss!

:)

This entire series was terrific, with brilliant characters, an entertaining plot, creative details, yummy steam, etc, etc. I read the books when they came out, and was excited to get to listen to the audio version as well. Good vs Evil, gray vs black & white, friendship, duty, sacrifice, sorrow, loss, trust, betrayal, redemption, family issues, fatherly love, new beginnings, courage, determination, hope, and love were some of the underlying themes in this wonderful saga.

Unbelievable

I have a lot of reverse harem. I was this was not men trying to take over. She was already in love with them. The story was believable. The book was divided into six steps and it is believable no long unnecessary words or plots. I love how the book end so you desperate to meet the heroine of the next book. Thank you Elizabeth Briggs. Well done great world

Good prequel

I haven't read yet any of the other books of this series, and decided to start here. I'm really happy with my choice. Elizabeth Briggs has an easy and captivating way to write, and I really enjoy her books. Light the Fire ia an easy and steamy read (or listen, in this case). It introduces us to a really different world, that I'm really curious to get to know. Lia Langola narrates perfectly the book, I love her voice! I received a free audio copy from the author for an honest review :)

Light the fire

Light the fire is a prequel book in this series about people, dragons, elementals and gods in lands that are not safe. This book is about the fire priestess and her mates being chosen as the fire gods has been released. This book does go into sexual details but the story is still good. It is a short story compared to the other book and could have easily been able to have added more to it if she wanted to make the longer. Nice short book to finish with.
