Attempting to keep her clairvoyant abilities a secret, Sophie Masterson thrusts herself into a cold case where the dead are multiplying, the clues are disappearing, and the hunky cop assigned to play babysitter is a nonbeliever. She doesn't hold out much hope for solving the case, much less keeping her secret, especially when the dead seek her out to tell their tales.

When Sophie plays a deadly game of cat and mouse with winner takes all, it's no longer the dead that scare her, but Jack Love. Surviving with her heart intact now ranks at the top of her list.

What a great start to a series! Lots of angst and mystery with a fun side too!

Good mystery with fantasy

Good mystery combined with good mystic flavor and nice romance without explicit hot sex scenes.

Good Story... Bad narrating!

The story is good but the narrator did not know how to give the male characters believable voices.

the coming into power

This is a coming of age for the main characters powers. something that she didn't believe in until wierd things started happening to her. looking forward to the next book

I ENJOYED LISTENING TO THIS BOOK BECAUSE IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE PAST BOOKS I HAVE LISTEN TO. THIS BOOK HAD LOT MYSTERY I DIDN'T REALLY CARE FOR THE MALE NARRATOR HE SOUNDED LIKE HE HAD A COLD OR AN OLD MAN. THE STORY WAS INTERESTING AND MYSTERIOUS, IT REALLY KEPT ME ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT. I'M GETTING READY TO LISTEN TO BOOK 2 RIGHT NOW WITH HOPES OF THIS NEXT ONE TO JUST AS GOOD OR BETTER THEN BOOK 1.

very readable(listing too?). no monsters or vamps or z's. just spooky enoght to be realistic. liked all of the main charters in book.

Amazing!

Captivating and nostalgic! Kept me entranced and on my toes from beginning to end. Love story meets mystery murder! What more could a girl ask for! So exited to see where Sophie goes from here and what she makes out of having such a gift! Way to go Kate Allenton, you've gained a fan and can't wait to see what else you have in store for your readers!

Good mystery book

Fun read. Interesting psychic mystery story even though I knew who did it early but fun seeing this tale unfold. The narration was the perfect voice for this story. Worth reading.

l was pleasantly surprised to find my self really getting into this cold case murder mystery. It was really good, so much so l hope there is a continuing series about this girl. The narrator did a great job in my opinion.
