Story
A business parable about how to create a start-up that won't trap you when you want to sell it. According to John Warrillow, the number one mistake entrepreneurs make is to build a business that relies too heavily on them. Thus, when the time comes to sell, buyers aren't confident that the company-even if it's profitable-can stand on its own. To illustrate this, Warrillow introduces us to a fictional small business owner named Alex who is struggling to sell his advertising agency.

Why is Red Bull so popular, though everyone—everyone!—hates the taste? Humans are, in a word, irrational, basing decisions as much on subtle external signals (that little blue can) as on objective qualities (flavor, price, quality). The surrounding world, meanwhile, is irreducibly complex and random. This means future success can’t be projected on any accounting spreadsheet. One of the biggest myths that plagues the business world today is that our ability to network depends on having the “gift-of-gab”. You don’t have to be outgoing to be successful at networking. You don’t have to become a relentless self-promoter. In fact, you don’t have to act like an extrovert at all. Matthew Pollard, an introvert himself, draws on over a decade of research and real-world examples to provide an actionable blueprint for introverted networking.

Publisher's Summary
The Life Leverage philosophy is a way of living your life to get more done in less time, outsource everything and create your ideal mobile lifestyle. It is a way of thinking, feeling, deciding, doing, and then getting the results and feedback accordingly to build momentum and get closer to your vision and legacy.
Life Leverage doesn't end with sitting on a beach drinking pina coladas, or retirement, or freedom, or balance. It allows you to live that moment-to-moment, or whatever that end goal is to you, now, and not rear-loaded, merging your passion with your profession and your vocation with your vacation.
The Life Leverage philosophy is living a fulfilled and inspired life, in balance of passion and profession, without overly sacrificing either. The Life Leverage philosophy doesn't understand work/life balance or separation; it merges every aspect into one inspired life.
The Life Leverage philosophy understands and accepts the balance of ups and downs, happiness and sadness, and moves towards its vision and legacy, constantly tweaking and accepting feedback. It disdains duplication and wastage; getting maximum leverage and maximum time preservation with minimum time erosion and wastage. It doesn't rear-load retirement, instead it lives continual mini-retirements.

A must have in your library
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This book changes your perspective and is a must listen for anyone who feels they are not in control of their time, not making enough money, and not enjoying life. I love the real-life examples that Rob provides about people thinking and working smarter are a game-changer.
What other book might you compare Life Leverage to and why?
I cannot think of one at the moment, which I think speaks for itself.
What about Rob Moore’s performance did you like?
I love the outline of the book. The way it is broken down helps you understand how to build this framework into your own life.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
So many "ah-ha!" moments for me. Why am I working so hard? Why am I spreading myself so thin? Why??
Any additional comments?

Simple Lessons Powerful Message
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes I have already recommended it to several. The book is simple to read and follow. It is full of great advice and tips that are achievable for the average person.
What other book might you compare Life Leverage to and why?
I think a lot of content you could argue is similar to some books from other motivational gurus, but its written in a simpler fashion. Its certainly not copy and paste.
What about Rob Moore’s performance did you like?
Having followed Rob Moore for some time I like his straight to the point and no BS attitude he tells things how they are and shares lessons he has learned from the hard way. He gives massive amounts of free content from various podcasts, webinars, Facebook pages and websites so this is available to all.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Cant tell, It could be worth some money....:-)

Packed with content
What made the experience of listening to Life Leverage the most enjoyable?
Just a ton of great content. Some techniques are widely known, like writing down what you want to do, be, and have, but a lot is fresh and Rob Moore puts his own input in, not just rehashing other people's ideas.
What did you like best about this story?
I get the impression the author really uses these techniques and knows them, and didn't just more or less plaigiarize somebody else's ideas to write a book he could make a profit off of. Seems like he is really sincere about providing good value.
Which scene was your favorite?
There aren't really any scenes.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I really really really like this author. It did not make me laugh or cry lol. I think for a lot of people, they can sense that there has to be an easier way to build wealth that what they are trying now, but they try a bunch of things and it's like beating your head against the wall. You can see that "the rich get richer", but how do you even get started? Do you have to be corrupt or inherit to get ahead? In a lot of cases, the problem might be just a knowledge gap. This book has a lot of practical, specific techniques to help you focus on your goals and accomplish them more efficiently.
Any additional comments?
The author was mentored by Brian Tracy and is similar in approaching a goal or problem from a lot of different angles - deconstructing and putting it back together though. In my opinion, this is for a little bit of a younger audience though and actually does a better job that Brian Tracy of keeping out some cliche advice that everybody already knows. I'm not sure it's better to get the print or audio version though. You can absorb the audio version quickly, but this is information you may want to refer back to.

Worth your time.
There are definitely trolls trashing this book. People are, however, entitled to their opinion. Here's mine.
It's life changing and profound, a paradigm shift in thinking that WILL set you on a better path. Read/listen to the VVKIK chapter, you'll find the most value there and it's the part of the book I share the most. Because of this book and a couple of others, I now spend nearly 100% of my old 'free time' in constant self education (audiobooks) and have started building assets in the way described in the book. There is no false hope here, just follow the advice and sink your teeth into it.
If you follow the author's advice and immerse yourself in personal development, you'll soon seen that the book is effectively a summary of many many other books, with the best concepts distilled and with the author's own spin and flair. Brilliantly, half of the source books were written specifically for an American audience, so this book is especially pertinent if you're British and not trying to achieve the American Dream, but a Blighty one.
This is the book I gift the most. It'll be in my top 3 forever, simply because it's the one of the three that woke me up and got me started. All that value for 1 Audible credit (£4.88)!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Life Leverage to be better than the print version?
This is just a different format to absorb the information - maybe whilst in the car.

Excellent advice. Strategies and outlook
This book contains so many nuggets of great info and is really well structured. Picking up on some of the negative reviews, a great book doesn't have to reinvent the wheel, but it's got to share insights in a way that connects to the reader/listener, and this book does exactly that (as well as offering some new content, strategies and insights). Follow the advice in this book and you have a much greater chance of being successful. A really great read.

Outstanding book to maximize both business and life
A provoking and philosophical game changer of a book for me. Rob has divulged witty and original practical content without the BS, delivered by a great narrator. Its very easy listening. I have re-read this many times over to keep its extremely helpful concepts front of mind. Is it a favorite and recommendable? Absolutely! A must for both a productive business management mindset and learning intuitive skills to 'create' time to do the things you love to do. Ideally suited for those in business, or time poor. This book removes the excuses of having no time to do the things that serve your higher purpose and provides the hacks of how to leverage time to get there
