So so

There is no character development. The characters lack depth. The story lacks substance. You don’t get that sense of connection to the main protagonists. I’ve read/listened to worse but I’ve also read/ listened to a lot better. There are no original ideas or new things.

Oh I’ve loved all of Carrie Pulkinen’s stories because they are always just so much fun to read! License To Bite was definitely a hoot to read and now I’ve listened to this audible version and thought Hollie Jackson did a fantastic job with her theatrics and voices bringing these spunky fun characters to life! I absolutely loved all of these characters and their quirky ways! Ethan’s blamed himself for the death of his beloved girlfriend for the past 25 years and now thinks he’s found her again at the Mardi Gras reincarnated! The more Ethan gets to know Jane... oh boy does he have his hands full with this Texas fireball! This is a very enjoyable and entertaining laugh out loud audiobook that I recommend to anyone! NOW I can hardly wait to get my hands on Sophie’s steamy hot story ‘Shift Happens’ the next in the New Orleans Nocturnes!

A winner

I loved this book the first time I read it and the audio takes it to another level entirely. I felt the narrator did a beautiful job breathing life into Pulkinen’s words and providing emotion and context to this fantastic paranormal romantic comedy. I loved every minute and cannot recommend it highly enough.

License to Bite: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by Carrie Pulkinen . This is my first Audible and I actually enjoyed listening and Hollie done a wonderful job. I honestly liked listening a lot more than I thought I would. It was a nice change not staring at a screen. I absolutely love this author , I love her style of writing and the fact she makes me chuckle. Her characters are fun, relatable and fully developed . Jane and Ethan, she’s the Governors daughter and is used to getting what she wants. A girls trip to Mardi Gras finds her in the arms of Ethan who is a hot as sin Vampire . He gives her the gift of immortality and super strength. There’s one tiny issue she doesn’t like the sight of blood and usually faints. I found myself chuckling throughout this story. These two are funny and whitty. Find out what happens next by grabbing this and giving it a listen. I highly recommend and look forward to more audible books.

Hollie Jackson's narration was entertaining and i loved the accents. I also enjoyed that she tried to change her inflections between characters. The emotions that she had for each of the characters.

This story was entertaining and yet annoying; the main FMC likes to talk about herself in third person and she gets queasy with blood. In comes the MMC who is a vampire who thinks the FMC is the reincarnation of his past love when she isn't farther from the truth. This story is very lighthearted and comical which makes this story a decently easy listen but i don't think i will continue the series
