Allowing politicians to lie about the validity of our elections can and must be stopped.

There is value in studying the various approaches to political lies. Brazil, Germany, England, have all faced the problem of lying politicians and are better often than the United States is. For example, Brazil has sentenced Bolsonaro for 27 years for attempting a coup.

A way forward

Thoughtful, inspiring, and encouraging. In these challenging times provides evidence of key factors threatening our democracy. Identifies that absence of a consequence for political lies may be an issue for which many states and other countries have addressed in law. Author then proposes specific draft federal legislation to address a key problem of political lies in weakening our government. Hopefully congress will take up this challenge.
