Publisher's Summary

Sesame, an old woman in frail health, is trapped in the attic with no explanation. A woman and her two small girls live on the first floor, none of whom pay the old woman any mind. Though she tries calling out, banging on walls, and stomping on the floor, her cries for help go ignored.  

Sesame spends her days writing letters about the strange things that happened to her sister, Eula, who left home decades ago. It becomes certain to everyone living in the house that there is a ghostly presence, firmly rooted among them that is disturbing the peace and creating fears beyond reason. The house surely is haunted. Only the ending reveals by whom.

A very short story that was scary enough to keep you entertained. It is only 20 minutes so the whole book can be listened to in one sitting.

Letters to Eula

A great little ghost story. I didn’t see the twist coming and loved the ending. The style was very reminiscent of The Twilight Zone.

very nice

I do listen and read short surahs insured books but I'm always very careful with those books because short stories can't provide you with details World building character development feeling and conflicts of sort what surprisingly this author did the impossible for the third time I have listened to four books of this author and every single time those 10 minutes 20 minutes 16 minutes or very very good you have a store with meat and it's incredible to manage writing so shortly with a very good story I actually enjoyed this

An Intriguing Listen

This quick little story is very well written. I thought I knew how it would end but was surprised because it wasn't exactly as I thought! There's nothing gross or macabre but it does have a bit of mystery and suspense. I really enjoyed listening to this story and the narrator did an excellent job!! Deryn Oliver will be a name I'll start looking for. She did an excellent job with the voices, emotions and pace. Overall, a really enjoyable twenty minute listen. One I think everyone can enjoy!

Clever, Creepy, Well-Written!

This is short but definitely sweet - great spooky read! Very cleverly written, I really enjoyed it! Really keeps you trying to figure out what's going on until the end.... I'd definitely recommend it, really loved the writing and narration. Definitely creepy! :-)

This is a short story but long on creepy.I loved it.Deryn Oliver was the perfect narrator.I was given this book by the narrator,author or publisher free for an honest review.

Great

I enjoyed this short ghost audiobook I got the audiobook from a code u gave me and the narrator did a great job also thank you for giving me the opportunity to listen to the story

Good quick read

Letters to Eula was a great quick read by Michael Bussa. Sesame is an older woman who is trapped in an attic. No one listens to her screams, so she writes letters to her sister Eula. Eula left many years ago. This was a great quick read. I loved reading these quick reads by Michael Bussa.

Very Erre...<br />**No Spoilers**

This is an excellent twist on a spooky story. My only complaint is I wish it was longer. The beginning is slow and calm while you're trying to figure out exactly what's going on. The creepy music paired with the perfect narration makes this a top quality scary listen. And even when you think you've got it figured out, you'll be surprised. Horror book lovers should definitely own this book. I was given a free copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily decided to leave this review.

An Unexpected Ending!

Right from the beginning the listener begins to understand that there is more to the story than the character is able to share from her point of view. The letters written to Eula by Cecily reveal a woman trapped and pained by her lot in life. It isn't until the last 60 seconds of the story and really the last word of the story, that we learn who Cecily is and how she is connected to the family living in the house.

This short story was crafted very cleverly with a very surprising ending. The narration by Deryn Oliver was perfectly in tune with the story, allowing Cecily's despair to be heard through her letters. Highly recommended!

Left me guessing

I was given this book to review it a while back, so when I got around to listen I had forgotten what it was about. This made it an interesting listen as I tried to work out what was going on in the house.

Overall I thought it was a great book, which really did leave me guessing right through to the end

Great short story

I really enjioyed this! The use of letters being written to Eula, to tell the story, gives it a gentle feeling of momentum through reasonably snappy chapters - as we hear Cically becoming progressively more distressed and confused in her writing.
Perhaps I've read/ heard/ watched too much for the little twist at the end to be a complete surprise but I still enjoyed the journey very much.
Narration spot on.
