Eclectic Collection of Love Stories

Would you consider the audio edition of Let's Fall in Love to be better than the print version?

Yes, definitely. The audio version brings the stories to life. The narrator does a great job of entertaining and conveying the character's emotions.

Any additional comments?

This book is a safe listen (no graphic sex and very few references to sex at all). Can listen to it with your mom in the car. "Let's Fall in Love" and "Wanting Willa" were my favorites. I thought the stories and characters were well developed which isn't always easy to do in a short story. "Almost over You" was a short listen compared to the other stories which were over an hour long each.

Delightful romance anthology

Any additional comments?

Let's Fall in Love: A Romance Collection is exactly what it professes to be, an anthology of romance short stories. I found three of the four stories delightful and the fourth one average.

My favorite was “Wanting Willa,” which is reminiscent of the movie Pretty Woman. The story is about Max who is a billionaire who has never been in love, but has had several mistresses over the years. On a lark, he slums it and eats at a diner for lunch, where he meets the fry cook, Willa. Never having experienced anyone like Willa before, he engages in a platonic relationship after she turns down the offer of becoming his next mistress. After Max takes the time to really get to know her, he finally learns to love. 5 Stars.

“Let’s Fall in Love” is also a sweet story that centers on Nic and his personal assistant Lexie. Nic hired the dowdy Lexie to keep him from becoming romantically involved with her. Unfortunately Nic and Lexie sizzle every time they are together. She keeps up the disinterested façade for a whole 9 months before they eventually elope to Vegas. Unfortunately, the parents share a history that neither Lexie nor Nic knew about. 5 Stars.

“Falling for her Alien” is also a cute story set in the future. The heroine is definitely a nerdy girl who’s more comfortable programming computers than communicating with people. In order to secure a treaty between Earth and an out of this world community, she agrees to marry someone she has only met once. 4 Stars.

And finally, there is “Almost Over You” about a couple going through a divorce due to the infidelity of the husband. Despite this, Liz still loves him but is too proud to let him see how upset she is with his engagement to his mistress even before they are divorced. 3 Stars.

Kamryn Russell’s narration was good. She had good pace and tone and different voices for male and female characters. In short, these short stories were a perfect way to keep me entertained during my commute to and from work.
