A true pleasure to read.

I wanted to read Kenney’s book for several reasons. I’ve been playing drums for a little more than 40 years and have been influenced by his approach to the kit and process. I’ve always been a rabid Who fan and having read Pete and Roger’s books, I was interested to hear Kenney’s perspective of those years following the loss of Keith.

What a joy to find such a treasure of an auto-biography in which the many years before his time with The Who are the real focus.

The fact that we both grew up with dyslexia, finding our escape in the music, was that much more of a reason his story rang true to me.

This was a fascinating sharing of honest stories and feelings by a man who clearly looks back and knows he seized opportunities and went for it. Kenney’s self-deprecating taking of responsibility for his choices was particularly revealing of who this fellow is as a person...admirable.

For any musician and especially those who are lovers of the music coming out of England, this is a must read.

A great sit down with Uncle Kenney

After this story I truly felt like I know Kenney. Such a nice easy flowing story of his life and an interesting life it is.
Enjoyed it a lot.
