  • Ep. 592 Jonathan Wild
    Dec 16 2025

Today we'll be taking a trip to old timey England, since it's been a while, to talk about Jonathan Wild. When he was young he surely got his hands dirty as he was a bit of a bruiser for some say, less than reputable people. But it's when he rose in position that he really came into his own and blossomed like a flower, a piece of shit flower, but a flower none the less. This dude killed a lot of people and hurt an amount of people I'm not even gonna try to fathom. Both directly and through his orders. The only thing worse than a scumbag, is a scumbag with power. Enjoy!

  • Ep. 591 Juan Ponce de Leon
    Dec 9 2025

We were recently reminded that we haven't done a conquistador type dude in a while, so here's one who's famous for the dumbest reason instead of for all the shit he actually did in his life! Juan Ponce de Leon got off to a rough start as a conquering Spaniard. But he righted that ship pretty fast and soon became a scourge to the natives. Yea, they leave a lot of that part out of his story when they tell you about him in school. Anyway, this guy sucked as a person, but his story is dope, outside the crimes against humanity. Enjoy!

  • Ep. 590 Roberto Suarez Gomez
    Dec 2 2025

Today we'll be taking a trip to the often overlooked country of Bolivia, so overlooked that we completely forgot where it was on a map. But anyway, we'll be talking about Roberto Suarez Gomez, a dude who turned a fortune into an even bigger fortune, by pretty sketchy means. As a result he interacted with a lot of familiar names. Now he didn't necessarily dole out a lot of violence personally, though it certainly happened, but he definitely got into some stuff that killed a lot of people, so he earned his spot here. Enjoy!

These two sacks of human vomit are actually pretty funny, if you don't mind laughing at other people's trauma and horrible events... which is fine by me. So I threw y'all 5 bucks since you lazy bums can't upload more than 2 episodes at a time and I need entertainment at work.

PSA: Don't forget to hit pause if you're going thru a drive thru or you might get some weird looks when they hand you your food.

Hilarious if you're dead inside

Gets me through my work day. pretty well researched and they put up with me bugging them on social media about minuit points they may have missed. Hearing their labored breathing and burping is just extra
entertainment.

Great entertainment

Laughed so hard at the Thomas Cochrane episode that I forgot I was cooking a pork chop and it got burned worse than Joan of Arc....

Horatio Nelson would be the perfect subject for an episode. The man was so bad ass and was basically a walking meme.

You guys are awesome, and I will consider contributing to your Patreon once I financially recover from that catastrophic loss of pork chop.

Dan Carlin, but significantly less respectable.

Stumbled across this while looking for war heroes stories, liked the style and then checked the other, less wholesome, episodes; turns out this is my favorite podcast.
These two fat bastards have a great sense of humor and do a pretty respectable job when it comes to research.
Totally recommend it, just be careful on which episode you want to start with and, for the love of God, wear headphones.

As for requests, see if any of the following specimens strike your fancy: Salvatore Riina, Junio Valerio Borghese, Irene of Athens.

Amazing, especially if you're a bit twisted

i have been listening to this podcast since you guys cover Joe pegleg Morgan. i been listening to your podcast for years. and it the only thing that gets me though my 12 hours graveyard shifts. thank you guys for your hard work and all the laughter you have brought me though out the years. i hope you guys continue making this podcast for many years. if you like comedy history in violence this is the podcast for you. since you covered joe pegleg Morgan i want to request Rene "Boxer" Enriquez you may have to read his autobiography the black hand. also since you covered chino anthrax i was wondering if i could request Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano leader of the zetas and last guy i want to request is Pablo Acosta Villarreal

single-handedly the beest comedy/history podcast around
