This week we continue to look at Jesus teaching about those difficult people to love we will encounter in life with former UCM's Vice President of Social Action and Community Service Angela Reed. Angela was our U2 Missionary and now a mom of 2 precious little girls under 2. She has such wisdom to share on this topic; many challenges have come her way that make this spiritual conversation very real.

This episode covers the part of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount that covers the "eye for eye saying" and Jesus shows us a better way to deal with difficult, insulting and unjust people we will encounter in our life. Jesus gives us principles of dealing with these situations as we take the ancient cultural situation and seek to apply them to our modern cultural situations.

We continue to explore Jesus teachings from the Sermon on the Mount; Now that we know the inward character traits from the Beatitudes, Jesus moves to specific situations to apply a "Jesus ethic". Our special guest is Reggie Morton, recent UCM at FSU graduate -- servant leader award of 2022 discussing the Salty life the disciple of Jesus is called to live.

Beatitude no 7 is Blessed (Truly Happy) are the Peacemakers for they will be called children of God. This week our special guest Captain Kavon Cuffy, US Army. What does it take to be a peacemaker disciple of Jesus and don't get suckered into false ideas of peace. False ideas of peace just let the chaos and hate grow. In this crazy and violent world we need more authentic peacemakers start being one. We need you.

The sixth Beatitude that following Jesus will shape into us is a sincere desire to see God for our self and to do what God wants. But what does that mean on a daily basis -- moment by moment. Who's heart can really become pure we all are such mixed bags of wants and desires. But Jesus would not tell us to become something that was impossible to do. That would be cruel and unGod like.
