Publisher's Summary

She's the only sister in a family of alpha males. Loved, treasured, and sheltered by her brothers, Kat McClain is working to heal the pain of a failed marriage to a man she loved from her teenage years and move on with her life, but she's a woman, she has needs, and she is understandably lonely.

Tommy Kirby has protected her brother since he was barely a man and has been a silent staple in the McClain family for just as long. He loves his job and his life, is loyal to his employer, but more than anything, he wants a family of his own.

Perhaps these two are exactly what the other desires.

Contains mature themes.

Afrolatinx rep for the win!

So I’ve read every book in this series religiously and I did really enjoy this one but I think because I read them in audio I was a little confused on the order of them since this one was the last to release but it’s technically book 3.5? There were some details in it that made me think this one should have come out before the fourth book because I legit thought it was the last final story and technically it isn’t 🤦🏾‍♀️

Either way lemme tell you about what I loved about it!

1. The narrators!
The narrators for this series are always on point. They make the stories come to life. But I did have an issue with the way the female narrator did a Latin accent. I didn’t like it at all but Jakobi actually performed it well! And I loved the little pieces of Spanish he got to say with Tomas!

2. An Afro Latino hero
Y’all. When I say I screamed knowing the hero was Spanish speaking and a black Latino I just said FINALLY! As a fellow black Latina I wonder why black authors don’t write afrolatinx characters?? They write everything else. African Americans, African , Caribbean (not the Spanish speaking kind like me) but when it comes to afro latins we just left out🤷🏿‍♀️ I know a lot of people have just discovered black people can be Latino because Latino is not a race, but we’ve literally always been here. Thank you for noting that there are black people everywhere in Latin American countries. While Mexican was one I wouldn’t have chosen, I appreciate shedding light on the black community Mexico has .

Tomas was definitely top 3 heroes in this series. No one is ever going to top Big South for me but Tomas and Leland can fight me for that second spot.

My biggest pet peeve with this book was that it was significantly shorter than the rest. I was up here thinking the twins books were short but I was mistaken. I really wish this one would have been longer🙎🏿‍♀️

I was hesitant to purchase because it was shorter than the other books but I wasnt disappointed! You have a true fan for life! And the narrators are the absolute best.

KAT & TOMMIE

Of course I love everything Alexandria House!!! And Let Me Please You was no different. Tommie's character intrigued me from the very beginning in Let Me Love You, so it was great getting his story. Loved Kat's strength and sassy attitude even after all that she's been through. There's always a great ratio of heat and comedy in Ms. House's books and I love it!

Oh, Tomas, Aye, Papi!

Kat is the only sister of three Alpha brothers. Although they're very protective of her, she's no wallflower. Kat can hold her own against her brothers, and her trifling husband. A point she proves very quickly.

Having gone through the ugly realization that her marriage is over, Kat starts working as her brother, NBA player Leland's assistant. As Neal's career and business interests are expanding, his brother Everett has loaned him one of his bodyguards, Tommy, to watch him and his family. Tommy, having had a brief fling with Bridgette recently, is looking forward to a change of scenery. One of Kat's jobs is watching Leland and Kim's son--not a job at all for her, considering how much she dotes on her little nephew. She adores him, and the feeling is definitely mutual. Leland asked Tommy and Kat to figure out the bodyguard assignments and schedule. Turns out Tommy has been eyeing Kat, and Kat's been doing the same. There's some chemistry between them, but neither act on it...until they do. Wading through the end of her marriage, Kat is second-guessing her decision making, and if another man will ever find her attractive. Tommy, wants a family of his own. He and Bridgette messed around, but that was all there was to their fling. Bridgette is focused on her career, and kids don't fall into the equation of her short-term life goals.

Looking for some boosting of her spirits, Kat reaches out to Tommy. Tommy feels like he's betraying his employers, and fights really hard to resist Kat. That doesn't last long, and after spending time together, feelings start to emerge to the surprise--and delight--of both of them. It was great seeing Tommy and Kat define and work their way to their HEA. The family reactions are sweet, and hilarious! This is such an amazing family, and as it expands, the love...and silliness grow, too.

Jokobi Diem and Adenrele Ojo are amazing as narrators for this series. I can't wait to get started on Neill's story. Really looking forward to see what Nolan's twin is up to.
