In a controversial move, he appointed Joel Klein, an accomplished lawyer from outside the education establishment, to lead this ambitious campaign. Nothing really new or just thought provoking
More of an autobiography to celebrate the author than ways to improve education. A lot of contradictions like promoting free enterprise in the conclusions but avoiding it in practice. A lot Known data like how the unions are in the way of improving schools and charter schools are good. Would be better if this was less about how awesome the author thinks of himself and more about how to implement charters and why after his tenure charters were largely dismantled.
