Publisher's Summary

Fantastic!

Please, record the next novel in the series! Ce livre est fantastique! I bought the book in French, and am reading it, but would much rather listen!

Finally, a good long french audiobook!

Loved this -- its a fun, engaging story, but most importantly in INTERMEDIATE LEVEL FRENCH. Audiobooks and movies seem like the perfect way to keep improving at french once you're past the basics, but it's surprisingly hard to find intermediate level french content (as opposed to the classics, which are too much of a slog at my level). Would so love to see more like this on audible!

Loved it. Want #2 and #3 !!!

Excellent recording! Not cheesy; the narrator has an excellent voice and conveys the story perfectly. Please, please make the other two books available in French!!!

Perfection

The story and the telling of it is exceptional. The story seems so well crafted and original, and its narrator doesn't let it down; rather seems to enhance it wonderfully. He must have loved telling it! Also, the incidental music is just the right match, and nicely timed. I don't know the story in English, but I'm confident that the translation is faithful to the original. One of my first Audible purchases, and, I think, a hard one to match.

The book that sold audible to me

Would you consider the audio edition of Les royaumes du Nord (À la croisée des mondes 1) to be better than the print version?

I prefer unabridged

What other book might you compare Les royaumes du Nord (À la croisée des mondes 1) to, and why?

Harry Potter trilogies- as gripping and believable but deeper and darker and addresses some uncomfortable questions about religion. I love listening to it in French.

What does Jean-Claude Drouot bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

.

Any additional comments?

Please please bring out the sequels in French !!
