Un Chef-d’œuvre émouvant et amusant, un hommage au courage
J’aime beaucoup les romans de Grimaldi. Ils sont comiques et tendres. Je les écoutent ou lis quand je me sens du vague à l’âme…
« Les Possibles » surpasse tous les autres … peut-être parce que j’ai l’âge ou la santé cahote et le corps nous lâche traîtreusement.
L’histoire des deux sœurs, Julianne et Adèle, dont le père sombre dans la démence est racontée de façon magistrale. L’inquiétude, la douleur et la frustration de Julianne sont mélangées avec des épisodes comiques. J’ai rit et souffert en même temps. J’ai vécu dans ma tête les visites chez les médecins, les accrochages avec le voisin, les escapades de Jean et ses lubies. Les messages sur le pare-brise sont hilarants. J’ai particulièrement apprécié le voyage sur la Route 66. J’habite aux États-Unis depuis très longtemps et j’ai connu les longs voyages entre les deux côtés. De Boston à San Francisco, du New Jersey à l’Arizona. Et la longue traversée du Texas à la Floride
Comme Adèle je suis d’un côté de l’Atlantique et mes frères et sœurs sont à Paris. Et j’ai perdu ma carte vitale… j’ai apprécié qu’ Adèle soit « gay » et vive en couple avec Joanna. C’est une diversité qui apparaît rarement dans les romans français. Ma fille est mariée légalement avec sa femme depuis 2015.
Tout m’a enchanté dans ce livre. Merci Virginie pour ces heures d’écoute.
