Publisher's summary

From #1 New York Times best-selling author Brandon Sanderson comes a new novella collection, including a brand-new, never-been-published story.

Stephen Leeds is perfectly sane. It's his hallucinations who are mad.

A genius of unrivaled aptitude, Stephen can learn any new skill, vocation, or art in a matter of hours. However, to contain all of this, his mind creates hallucinatory people - Stephen calls them aspects - to hold and manifest the information. Wherever he goes, he is joined by a team of imaginary experts to give advice, interpretation, and explanation. He uses them to solve problems...for a price.

His brain is getting a little crowded and the aspects have a tendency of taking on lives of their own. When a company hires him to recover stolen property - a camera that can allegedly take pictures of the past - Stephen finds himself in an adventure crossing oceans and fighting terrorists. What he discovers may upend the foundation of three major world religions - and, perhaps, give him a vital clue into the true nature of his aspects.

Legion: The Many Lives of Stephen Leeds includes the novellas Legion and Legion: Skin Deep, published together for the first time, as well as a brand-new Stephen Leeds novella, Lies of the Beholder.

This book contains all three books!

When purchasing the Steven Leed series-you only need to buy this one as it contains all three books! Don't waste credits on all three as separate books when you can just get them all in one! Don't be a me!!!

two stories allready released and on bland new

I was very much looking forward to this book since I had purchased 2 short novellas on legion from audible and they were great mysterious stories with awsome character development. Imagine how pissed off I was to find those two stories were republished and covered half of this new book . the last story was ok but it seemed a rushed job that had failed to keep my attention..and that's it..2 of 3 stories I paid twice for and a week new story. I'm going to return it .

One of the best protagonist ever...

Brandon Sanderson is absolutely brilliant as he delivers up one of the best/strangest protagonists ever... Meet Stephen Leeds, and as Stephen puts it, "I am quite sane... however, my hallucinations are quite mad" He is also a genius, though he claims not. Each of his imaginary friends is a genius, but only in a single field of endeavor. Each of his 'friends' are distinctly different from one another, they're funny, always squabbling, but it's only with their help that he's able to solve the mysteries set forth in this fantastic novella series. I have just finished listening to the audible version and No I'm not Crying... really... well, maybe just a little bit.
The truth is, I loved it! Oliver Wyman's narration really captured Stephen and all of his imaginary aspects perfectly! Get the book! Better yet, get the audio version, and get sucked into the strange world of Stephen Leeds!

Almost ruined by the third novella

Two great novellas and one that is so atrocious that I will never figure out how I gathered enough willpower to listen to it.

The first two novellas in this omnibus are the kinds of stories that make me wonder why Sanderson does these long, sprawling epics when he is so much better at the more focused and microscale stories. In the first novella, we get a short thriller with a bit of religion and a bit of the mystical in it. In the second novella, we get a longer mystery of a missing body and bleeding edge technology, literally.

These two are definitely worth the price of admission; it’s just that the third book is like a surtax of pain. You need it to finish out the overall story… kind of. Honestly, it doesn’t even really finish up Stephen’s story, contrary to what Sanderson says in the introduction. It is cliché, unsatisfying, illogical, and overall just poorly written. I expect much more from a favorite author of mine and it’s lead me to the point that I’m worried this may be a new trend with him.

So I certainly recommend the first two novellas, they alone are probably worth you picking up this omnibus for. And hey, maybe you’ll like the third one more than me?

I feel cheated

I'm a big fan of the legion series, so when I saw a brand new book I couldn't be more exited.
Sadly this book contains the past two and only a third is new material. Don't get me wrong, the new material is amazing, but I wish the description was straight forward about the audibook being a collection.

not fond of the rap up

I enjoyed the story, but was not fond of how the author tied everything up. I won't spoil it, but suffice it to say it didn't feel right to me.

Didn't want to get put of the car!

I decided I needed to listen to a book on my hour commute home in order to try and keep my blood pressure down and stress in check. I've been a fan of Sanderson since my brother introduced him to me 4 years ago. I saw this book on audible and picked it based on the author alone. That being said, it was fantastic! Character development and story line are in depth, but dont drag. I literally made my commute longer on some days to continue listening. Mr. Wyman's grasp of accents is superb and really added to each of the characters portrayed. I would highly recommend this title to any fan of a number of genres! Thanks for making my commute bearable for a few weeks!
