  • Summary

  • The courtroom can be a battlefield over money, people’s rights, and even their lives. For some cases, the consequences can affect us long after the verdict is read. Based on extensive interviews and court transcripts, Wondery’s new podcast LEGAL WARS puts you inside the jury box of some of the most famous court cases in American history, including Hulk Hogan’s courtroom wrestling match with Gawker, the battle for free speech on the internet, and the Rodney King trial that set off the LA Riots. Host Hill Harper, actor and Harvard Law School graduate, brings you the drama, the larger-than-life characters, and the real-world impact these cases had on our society.

Nees my fix

Please make more. This is great. The Wondery format of great production value, linear narrative, and immersive pov scenes works really well for these infamous legal cases. The Chicago 8 episodes were particularly good.

Excellent Presentation of Famous Court Cases

This is an excellent presentation of a selection of some of the most famous court cases in American history, with an emphasis on criminal prosecutions and the protection of individual constitutional rights.

I particularly enjoyed the Monkey Selfie, Chicago 8 and The Scopes Trial episodes, but all nine were interesting and engaging. I would love to see Audible pick up additional Wondery pocasts and either add them to this series or create a new series of them.

Anyone interested in legal history, lawyer or not, will almost certainly like these podcasts.

Addictive narration

I loved the narrator so much even when I knew the story before. I was still glued to the narration. I loved it and would recommend it to everyone one. As I have already done to alot of my friends. Good job 👌👍
