From an old War Horse
As a female Desert Storm, Military Police veteran with a combat badge and PTSD, I seriously doubted the authenticity of a book about female Army vets. Most folks have no clue that since the end of the Cold War there has been no "rear" in any combat action. Today's weapons have done away with a safe zone for non combatants. Yea, no matter your race, rank or gender if you are serving your country in uniform, you are a target, in or out of country.
That being said, it was a bit of a treat to read about an old soldier returning to her unit one more time and being treated so well. It was also kind cool to see an adult civilians' perspective on military training. Basically, what I am saying is that this book was outstanding, only one recommendation, kinda cut back on the hooahhs, we never used them so frequently. The were like the gold stars passed out in school for doing something outstanding.
