Impressive audible

From the very beginning, John E. Martinez makes it natural and easy to start understanding and speaking. He doesn't bog you down with a bunch of rules. I'm really surprised by how much I learned it's just listening at my car to and from work.

Hoping that there is an advanced level!

Short but wonderful book. I heard this as an audiobook, so kudos to the excellent narrator John Martinez. The book is a good guide to expanding our conversational Spanish through different contexts like travel, work, emergencies, etc. Although aimed at intermediate users, the book takes time to explain all the important verbs and tenses that we use. Most useful is the fact that everything in the book is spoken once in English and twice in Spanish. So, you cannot really miss anything. I felt that my Spanish improved with this book. By the end of the book, I was able to increase the listening speed. My only complaint is that it has a limited scope - it covers about a dozen situations and while that is great, you feel that it could have shown other things - like grocery shopping and ordering food. But that is a minor quibble. I really hope there is an advanced user stage for this series.

Exactly what Spanish learner needed

I really like this book. It's just what I was looking for. I don't have anyone to speak Spanish to while I'm learning. This book is like someone speaking to me at a level I can comprehend and learn from.

I know I will be going through this more than once. It's definitely a good investment for my journey to learn Spanish.

Great way to learn

The conversational repetition is so helpful by "building" a vocabulary as you go. What a great way to learn. I love his method of participation but don't worry about getting it right because the repetition helps increase the understanding as you go.

Well presented

It’s just a very preliminary step but I really enjoyed the way the content was presented. Rather than rote memorization which has never worked for me it’s presented in a nice example, challenge , review, and scenario format that seems to be sticking with me.

I appreciate that everyone has a different preference for learning however I found this audio book so boring that I requested a refund even before finishing the first chapter.

Very helpful, plenty of vocabulary to learn and helps a lot with brushing up on conjugations and tenses.

Good tool

This book was helpful in learning how to correctly pronounce words. It used phrases that you would normally use in everyday activities to teach you and to reinforce it. You are given a chance to respond to ensure you say the words and phrases correctly. Good for when you are traveling.

Fabulous learning tool

I love this course. I am trying to learn/improve my Spanish before I go to a friend’s wedding in Mexico. This audible made my learning very easy just sitting in my car. Commuting has never been so much fun!
