Portuguese or Brazilian

You have a Portuguese flag but speak Brazilian ..i am more interested in European Portuguese

Isn’t not European Portuguese

The cover is very misleading, it depicts the Portuguese flag, but it’s Brazilian not European. Very disappointed.

Add written words for visual learners

I speak two other Romance languages besides English. I like the music and the slow, casual pace of the beginning lessons, with two speakers carrying on a conversation to clarify what is being taught. However, visual learners will miss seeing the Portuguese words. Since Portuguese pronunciation is rather unexpectedly different from these other languages, it would be helpful to be able to SEE the words if one is a visual learner. I

Brazilian Portuguese

Pronunciation not true Portuguese. This dialect confuses learning true Portuguese. Being from Portugal this teaching experience is not useful for me to learn true Portuguese.

It was free.

You get a short intro for what is worth, not that important. Then again it was free, but still don't waste your time.

very interesting

I Love the audio material. will surely recommend it to my friends learning a second language like Portuguese. I believe this system truly works.

Misleading.

The cover of the audio book is very misleading. This isn't European Portuguese and that's dissapointing.

Terrible intro to portugues

I have learned to speak Spanish as a native speaker so I have experience

This strategy lost me at the beginning. They started chapter on with a long explanation of the alphabet and sounds. I listened for 20 out of the 60 minutes of the alphabet chapter before deciding I would come back to that once I learned a little more portugues.

Then I went to chapter 2 expecting greetings and basic conversation. I was surprised to hear the narrator say “chapter 2 adverbs” Adverbs ? Really?

So basically they lost me very early. But it was free so I only lost the 2 hours or so I experimented with it. Learning a language takes thousands of hours of practice so considering that it wasn’t much of a waste.

Also the narrator is a portugues native speaker who has trouble pronouncing the English translations. Often I didn’t understand what he was saying in English.

Since I really want to learn portugues I have invested a credit in a better program

Not a real course just a prelude

The title is misguiding, I thought this would be an a real introductory lesson to provide insight into whether or not I wished to purchase. Instead it was the tease of an introductory course. I did not appreciate that,

Annoying

This very short book is primarily the company expounding on the benefits of themselves and their courses. There's a brief useful clip then audible defaults to reviewing. Actually learning Portuguese is seemingly the last thing one who wrote , or listens to this book would want to convey. Its not worth the time.

Not at all what it promised to be

Wanted a speak and repeat Portuguese lesson. Had 20 minutes of credits and then a mish mash of phrases and words. Hard to follow.

Absolute rubbish

18 mins of long winded self aggrandisment followed by considerably less language lesson until you pay loads of money. not for me. and if I could work out how to return it (audible have managed to conceal the "return" function very successfully)

Do not buy

This was dreadful, a whole chapter of sales flim flam & a very basic and erratic lesson.
Do not waste your money or time.

Brazilian Portuguese

It wasn't clear enough for me. I struggled! I won't be using this course, it's not for me.

Portuguese learning

Very basic intro to the language and very brief but understandable as it’s free and less than 20minutes in length.

not bad

fantastic language introduction spoken slow enough to follow , broken down and repeated in both languages , I'd highly recommend does my one keen on portuguese.

No wonder it’s free

Downloaded this free. There’s not much to it. Not a lot more to say. Waste of time.
