I Survived Korean!

I've been learning Korean for over a year and this audio book has helped me so much.
When I was planning my trip to South Korea I needed to learn the basics FAST! I love the LEARN KOREAN series because they give you a PDF to follow along and audio is easy to follow. Also the lessons are quick and only focus on the basics; just enough to get you by.

Excellent and essential phrases for the beginner!

Where does Learn Korean - Survival Phrases Korean, Volume 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is among one of a few resources that I have for learning the Korean language. I think that this beginner volume is an essential primer. Core vocabulary is broken down into cultural meaning, accompanied by guided pronunciation, in an efficient and entertaining fashion.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Learn Korean - Survival Phrases Korean, Volume 1?

Each lesson prompts the learner to participate in active recall of the corresponding vocabulary. I think that all of the lessons, divided into short and accessible chapters, are what make this Volume 1 a memorable set.

Which character – as performed by Keith Kim – was your favorite?

I find learning with Keith Kim an enjoyable experience. His voice and instruction are delivered with precision and enthusiasm.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The detailed pronunciation portions of each lesson are particularly important for understanding how each syllabic block corresponds to articulating an entire word/expression. I found this aspect of Volume 1 very instructive!

Any additional comments?

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed Volume 1; I highly recommend it for the beginner with little to no knowledge. If the Korean language seems daunting or even insurmountable, this volume provides a comfortable jump-start!

Language learning made fun and easy

This is a great and fun way to learn a language. Keith Kim is an excellent instructor who not only helps with the language but also gives insight to the country, culture and people. Thank you.

Please don’t take this title away, I did t have the chance time to use the second volume either….

The narration is very poorly done.

The narrator has no manners. He asks you to "shout" and say the words "loud." He seems clueless. It is how clearly the word is said and how well it is pronounced that matters. Saying something loudly will only make you seem rude.

Crystal clear, easy to follow and highly relevant phrases

The narrator is just outstanding. I’ve used several language learning guides but this one is particularly good at highlighting and helping with the particularl sound and cultural challenges English speakers have with Korean. Highly recommend.
