When I became President of the Arizona Homeopathic and Integrative Medical Association (AHIMA), I was honored to represent a much esteemed group of alternative doctors. These individuals work tirelessly to bring you the latest in treatments that will restore your health. Most of these treatments are approaches that are not included in conventional medicine. My first reaction as President of AHIMA was to ask how the wonderful unselfish and creative work of these members might come into greater awareness. These doctors are not always known to the many patients who are seeking safe and effective alternative treatments to restore their health. I wanted to bridge the gap and allow more patients to meet these incredible healers. I decided that the best way to accomplish this was to interview each doctor to learn how they made the transition to alternative therapies, what makes their practice unique, and what types of conditions they treat and patients they serve. I changed my radio show “Healthy Vision Talk Radio” to the “Top Alternative Doctors of America,” and, over a period of months, interviewed each one of these special individuals who are making a marked difference in health care in America. Then I realized that more people could learn about them if I compiled a book of these interviews. You have it in your hands You may wonder why you have not heard of some of these doctors. Well these clinicians are quietly working in the trenches helping thousands of people without the national recognition of pop TV doctors or publicity. Several of them began their journey when their own health deteriorated and did not respond to conventional therapies. This happened to me also, and this experience makes us empathize with people who have tried everything to regain their heath but are still sick. How would you go about finding a doctor who can help you the most? Reading this book is almost like a consultation with these specialists in alternative and innovative therapies.
