My name is Glenda, and teaching foreign languages is my passion!

There are a lot of different ways to learn a language—studying books, taking a class, or even watching foreign movies. But I’m an auditory learner. I have to hear and repeat the language to make it stick. In fact, when I was a teenager taking French classes, I would often make my own (cassette) recordings and study for my tests by listening to them.

All learning methods are valid! But there is only one you can so anytime and anywhere. And that’s what you’ll experience with this audiobook.

I have taken great care to choose vocabulary and sentences that you can actually use!

Each chapter is for a new situation you might find yourself in. For example…

You will not learn French with this alone

The title is Learn French in Your Car, but that is an exaggerated overstatement. I bought it to increase my learning time during my one hour daily round trip commute, while my primary learning comes from other sources such as Rosetta Stone. The entire audio book are just a series of questions, statements and phrases you might use in daily conversation but without any grammatical knowledge or more vocabulary you can’t carry on a fluid conversation with just a set of memorized phrases. Where it helps is if you already are or have developed some background. In that case listening to this would increase your conversational abilities. As a stand alone method for learning French however, it falls short. This was further emphasized when I later purchased audio books from the Paul Noble series which are much more in depth and through which you could learn conversational French alone.

Not a beginning program.

French interpretation far too fast and complex. Jumps right into full sentences and then translates at normal speed rather than breaking down each semtence and phrase. More appropriate for mid- or advanced-level learners.

Great for Learning on the Go!

I’ve been wanting to brush up on my French, and this audiobook has been the perfect companion for my drives between jobs. It’s easy to follow, well-paced, and structured in a way that makes learning feel natural. I really appreciate how the phrases are spoken clearly and slowly, allowing me to repeat them and practice pronunciation without feeling rushed.
What I love most is how practical the lessons are—covering real-life situations like travel, dining, and even social interactions. It feels like I’m learning things I can actually use rather than just memorizing random vocabulary.
If you’re looking for a simple, effective way to learn French on the go, this audiobook is definitely worth it!

Simple and easy to follow!!

The perfect way to learn French while driving or performing any task. This audiobook was amazing and easy to follow. The narration was great and it sure made learning French much easy. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone looking to learn French while on the go!

Helped me learn faster

As a delivery service driver this audiobook allowed me to learn French while I was working. I am so happy I got this book, if you ever find yourself in your car bored, just put on this audiobook and you will slowly learn french.
