Great introduction!

A great introduction to Italian. I spend about 8 hours a week driving and I listen during my long drives. I like that they switch between mail and female voices. The pace seems correct. I look forward to listening on my drives!

Interesting

This method is really interesting. The pace is great and the sentences are well explained. The content is useful and the learning should be helpful. I haven't finished the entire lessons, but I can say that this method seems really effective and is easy to use. The narration is well done, easy to understand. Found this guide very helpful

I have always struggled to learn new languages, I found it hard to find the motivation to practice the direct translations and I didn't feel confident enough to attempt conversations. After listening to this guide, I feel much more inspired to learn the Italian language because this guide makes learning simple. The lessons are well structured, go at a good pace and helped me get a great understanding of the basics of the Italian language. The narrators made learning much more enjoyable and it was good to be able to engage with an audiobook.

Lots of Italian for any Beginner

Excellent audiobook to help beginners. It's has 30-minute lessons, making it easy to pick up Italian basics. The variety of voices is super helpful for getting the pronunciation and accent right. Definitely check out the sample to see if it suits your learning style as everyone learns a little different. The included PDF is a game-changer is a big bonus as it blends audio and visual learning. Good book for anyone starting with Italian. Recommend!

Why I decided to give it 4 stars and not 5

Although I have purchased dozens of learning-Spanish programs, this is one of my first learning Italian programs. And the reason why I chose this program is because it is made by the same author that made Learn Beginner Spanish bundle. And I found that Spanish program to be very effective at helping me learn how to speak real, down-to-earth conversational Spanish. By the way, I also recently purchased the learning Portuguese program by the same author.

First, I will talk about what I liked most about this program. One thing that really pleases me is that there is so much content for what I paid. The program has 30 audio lessons and nearly 13 hours of recorded audio.

The teaching method is another thing that I really liked. The method is so engaging and interactive. The lessons are about 30 minutes long and I don’t think there was ever a moment when I was bored while listening to any of these lessons.

These lessons only feature native Italian speakers – which really helped to improve my pronunciation in Italian. And it definitely gave me the confidence to speak Italian and hold a conversation with an Italian speaker. Hopefully, I’ll have the chance to travel to Italy soon and give my Italian-speaking skills a real test drive.

I believe I gave this author’s learning Spanish program 5 stars. But I am only giving the Italian program 4 stars overall. And that’s because my reason for wanting to learn Italian is completely different from my reason for wanting to learn Spanish.

I live in a city with a lot of Spanish speakers. And I have several Spanish speaking friends. So my reason for wanting to learn Spanish is for developing friendships and relationships with Spanish speakers. And the author’s Spanish program does an excellent job at that. But my reason for wanting to learn Italian is only for tourism or travel. So I am most interested in learning very basic Italian vocabulary for dining, staying at a hotel, what to say at an airport, etc.

And a lot of the vocabulary in this Italian program seems to be for people who have a long term goal of achieving fluency in Italian or developing friendships and relationships with Italian speakers or for someone who has plans to relocate and actually live in Italy - which is not why I would like to learn Italian.

I still think it’s a great program. Not only will it really help to improve your pronunciation, it does a great job at helping the student understand Italian grammar without the lessons sounding overly academic. But it doesn’t address my personal needs for learning Italian. I’d prefer a crash course in “Italian For Travelers” as opposed to a program that guides me towards achieving fluency in Italian.

I rate it as very good

My review of Learn Beginner Italian Bundle will make my second review of an audiobook by this author. Firstly, I'll start my review by disclosing the fact that I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for my most honest review. I am a member of an audiobook club and we receive free copies of some of the audiobooks found on Audible in exchange for our candid reviews. Secondly, I want to add that I am a life- long student of learning foreign languages. I have three foreign languages under my belt in which I consider myself either fluent or semi-fluent as well as another foreign language in which I am approaching a conversational level. Considering my experience learning foreign languages, I believe I am well qualified to rate foreign language learning audio books and distinguish between a superb program, a very good program, a good program, an average program and one that falls below average.


I rate this program as “very good” to "excellent." It is certainly in the top 20% of Spanish programs I have tried. Over the years, I have tried and used many, many different foreign language programs. If it's a very popular brand, then I am sure that I have used the learning-Italian version as well as the versions for other languages. There are several things that I really like about this Learn Beginner Italian Bundle which cause me to give it a high rating.


The speakers are all native speakers from Italy. In my opinion, it’s very important that an Italian audio program feature native Italian speakers to develop and reinforce proper pronunciation. But one of the main things that separates this audio program and the other audio programs by this author is that method of instruction is very intriguing. While some other programs almost put me to sleep, the method of instruction in this audiobook kept me on the edge of my seat. You'd be hard-pressed to find a learning Italian audiobook nearly as intriguing. Hopefully, the author will eventually release a Learn Intermediate Italian Bundle and then a Learn Advanced Italian Bundle.

Mi è piaciuto!

One of my long-term goals is to take a trip to Europe and speak the local languages. I've been learning French for the past year for when I go to France, but what trip to Europe would be complete without going to Italy?? I love all the pictures I've seen of the architecture and canals...bellissima! So I wanted to learn some Italian too and this audiobook definitely helped out.
