Publisher's Summary

Six audiobooks in one.

Every business wishes to provide an exceptional product to their customers. They want to be able to do this and meet their customers' needs, while also reducing costs to ensure profits stay as high as possible. But in many companies, there is a level of waste and inefficiency that shouldn’t be there. The result is a product that is of lower quality than the customer wants, more costs, and just more of a hassle for everyone involved.

When you learn how to follow this methodology, you will be able to implement it into your business in order to get the best of both worlds. You can provide the customer with a high-quality product that meets their needs while also keeping your costs, in the long term, to a minimum.

This guidebook is going to discuss everything you need to know to get started with Lean Six Sigma. There are many different things to look over with this methodology, including:

  • The basics of Six Sigma
  • What is Six Sigma
  • Why you should use this method in your business
  • The importance of having employees certified with Six Sigma
  • Some of the most common myths about Six Sigma and how to avoid them
  • How to deploy Six Sigma

Excellent concepts on Building a Lean Business

Should be required listening for all entrepreneurs. I except that the author gets quite repetitive while exploring the subtleties of applying the Lean management techniques.

Good condition and many visual aids in the book

This book is also very small (the quarter ontop of the book in the photo is for a size comparison) and light. Though it has pages not including the index and is filled with formulas, diagrams, charts, and information.

Essential Reference Material

I think it is much more usable than the tiny pocket reference books and has 90% of what you need. I am a MBB and the Director of Continuous Improvement at my company and I give this to all my Black Belt candidates.

Monotone

Having completed PRINCE 2 and Agile practitioner courses, I was excited to make a start on Sigma methodologies. I barely made it past 20 minutes of this audio book, purely based on the narration.

I'm sure he is a lovely guy, but there is so little enthusiasm when narrating this book that it even becomes hard to define when he is moving onto the next step in a process, as it all sounds the same. If the narrator isn't interested in what they are reading, you can't expect to captivate an audience.

I do a lot of commuting and listen to audio books whilst doing so, but will be too dangerous doing so with this one as has already made me sleepy. I will be buying the hard copy to read myself and returning this one.

Good later but a lot of time wasted

Nearly all the first book is just saying over and over again how grwst six sign is without saying what it is, and blanket things like 'you need to have suppliers who. Make changes that fit with your organisation..'. A lot of empty obvious stuff.
