A book worth studying!!!!!

Great book, is very clear and direct to the point, sometimes goes to deap into de church and religión, but is basically to demonstrate a point, I really like it.I felt God nudging me to learn how to become a better leader so I searched Amazon and found this one. I read the key leadership qualities Maxwell list and had none of them. Great to have in your leadership library or as a stocking stuffer....give to coworkers, team members or for young and older leaders.

Great, Great Resource and Guide!!!

If you are looking for a program that builds leadership into your organization, this is it. After reading through the book and introducing these steps to people in my company, we are now implementing the tactics and seeing positive results already. This book takes a simple formula and provides a very profound way to apply it to business and life. Whether a family, a small team, or a large organization, this book offers insight on how to align a team on aspirational goals and unlock potential. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to sharpen their leadership skills.

Really extraordinary book

The key take away is that leadership is something you grow into not born with, each of these role models grew into their leadership roles through adversity and with intestinal fortitude. The lessons in leadership are very interesting, but it was the last chapter that really brought it all together and made me feel that the author has really lived and breathed her research for a good portion of her life.

Useful for all of life.

Almost every paragraph in this book had me underline something. This was required for a course I took and I will read it again! So good!! The concepts in here are useful not just for the workplace, but for all of life. Very well communicated and they give good points of view from experienced people who have put these principles into practice.

Absolutely essential...

This book is filled with the deeper insights of leadership, thriving through change, tools and strategies as well as basic humanity and compassion. Deep, well-organized and accessible although dense and rich, Adaptive Leadership is the deep nutrition that will move both you and your organization forward.

One of the best books I've listen.

If you love books about how to be an even better leader, and you appreciate authors who go deep to be clear, and also stay relevant and concise, then you'll love this book as much as I do. I own three editions of The Leadership Challenge. My pastor recommended this book to me because of some voluntary duties I had recently taken on at church. While reading the book, I could understand how leaders are everywhere even if they are not bestowed with an official title.

Truly inspiring

I've listen a lot of leadership books, and this one is truly a game changer. I first came across the concept of above and below the line when a colleague introduced me to a short video from the Conscious Leadership group called: "Locating Yourself: A Key to Conscious Leadership." While listen this book I could immediately apply the concepts to my work and home life.

Leaders are everywhere.

The authors have updated their classic leadership book to address all the current challenges leaders face today in a world of growing distrust, the resulting loss of credibility at the executive levels, relationship building, retention of top talent, leading through disruption and change. The authors deliver quality work once again, based on practical experience from their consulting work and solid research.

Finding balance in leadership.

It is rare for an audio book to be so well delivered by the authors, but these guys nail it! Getting into the details of the dichotomy is going to be so helpful for me as a classroom teacher because every day is about careful balance, I recommend Extreme Ownership to anyone who asks, and so far this sounds like it's going to be right up there.

Great Book for All People, not just Leaders!

I was able to read this book rather quickly and will most likely refer to sections of it often. I am always on the hunt for good leadership books to recommend to employees that I am doing career development plans with. This book encourages you to be a positive leader, no matter what the circumstance and provides plenty of what I would call case studies of other individuals and companies that have done so.

Not good performance

The narrator is reading as if it is a shopping list, no pauses and no time to process the information or to know when one point finish and the next one start!
Very disappointing

Valuable nuggets on info

Interesting and valuable information for all professionals and individuals. Management is not leadership and this book clearly states what the latter entails.

Difficult to listen to

The book might be great but listening is difficult, it's like it's been read by a text to speech robot. I would recommend just buying the physical book.

exellent book.

Good book for anyone interested in self assessment and in different leadership theories. Had to this text book as the assigned for my Ph.D leadership course. The book is written well and is easy to follow. Also like the hands on and case studies parts the best. The author presents the material in a way that is easy to apply the theory. Best leadership text book I have use. I'm using this for a leadership college course, and I actually like it. I'm not a big reader, especially of textbooks, but this is broken down in an easy to digest manner. There's good free resources online as well through the publisher. Each chapter has a little skill assessment at the end that you can take to see how you measure up to that specific leadership style, so you could know what to improve on if that's a style you wanted to use.

Great research.

This book is original in that it focuses on the leadership aspects of each president while also comparing their similarities and differences verses just telling each of their stories individually. The key take away is that leadership is something you grow into not born with, each of these role models grew into their leadership roles through adversity and with intestinal fortitude. This book is profoundly important in contemplating the healing of our nation that must follow the tearing asunder by our current President.

Excellent Book!

My favorite book so far! In fact I am stating it over right now! The info and concepts in this book have the power to change your life. I know it has already had an impact on my life and that is why I am re-reading it so that I can pick up on things that I missed the first time. Got this from a boss's recommendation. This book has very basic concepts that, if you are receptive to them, will change your life. They will help you get buy-in, cooperation, and positive responses from your workers, your supervisors, peers, friends, loved ones, or family in anything in life.

A must have in your readilyaccessible book section

The 'leadership' is often from the top down in an organization, in order to stimulate the greatest growth. However, individual growth can have the 'rising up' effect! This book accentuates the former situation and can be used in any profession or business where there are people present! This series of books produced by the Studer Group are some of the very best business books I have ever read. If you're involved in business administration or are considering an administrative position do yourself a favor and read these books.

Great way to become a better you!!!

A lot of leadership books are good ideas stretched into a long book that I never get around to finishing. This book is perfect for getting to the point and giving a lesson that is worthy of reflection. I think the reflection is where the real learning develops in general.Great read, the author points out strategy and tactics that are useful for any business and does it in real world examples.it really has a great message and if you are open minded you'll be able to get a lot out of it!
