Publisher's Summary

Learn the proven leadership skills and principles of how to become an effective leader and make everyone around you better!

Leadership is a term that people perceive very differently. Most think of CEOs, managers, and coaches and while that is of course true, it is much more than that. A leader is a person who goes in front of new projects, ideas or trends, and who can direct others towards a common goal. It doesn’t even have to be on a big scale. Remember that teacher who sparked your interest in mathematics or literature? Or your father who motivated you to do your homework when it was difficult? Leaders can be found everywhere in society, and you don’t need a big title to become one. Sometimes you will even have to be a leader without being told to be one.

By implementing the strategies taught, you will definitely maximize your potential as a leader by gaining the respect and trust of those around you. You will become more approachable and easy to work with. Your communication skills will become top-notch and people will find you irresistible, which will open the way for meaningful conversations at work.

Don’t waste any more time doubting yourself. Instead, use this time to become the leader you are really meant to be. Scroll Up and buy this audiobook now!

Not as expected

Provided details on various definitions and contructs of leadership, but very little context on how to apply, or how to improve communication.

Wow!!!!

I read this book as part of my engineering leadership class. I really enjoyed the principles taught in it, especially as I look to start my career when school is over. I recommend this book to all younger individuals like me who want to start off their career having the right tools to be a good leader.

Worth every second, minute, hour of your time.

This book reminded me of why I hated working for a church. So much of the guidance in this book is to deal with drama that only exists inside the walls of a church. I will be back involved in organized ministry like this again, but it has reminded me to dip my toes back in slowly. If you do work for a church, every bit of this is helpful, and I will apply much of it once I get back into church leadership,

Personal game changer

First the book provides a story of a company that much needed to apply the ideas and goes on to describe how they were applied at that company. The issues they experienced are typical in all companies. Then the author describes why it is important to fix the dysfunctions. These ideas can be applied anywhere, even at home or with a group trying to accomplish something.

This is high-quality and high-enjoyment

I have every confidence that my son will be a successful leader in his career as he has been in sports from youth thru to college as he has been Capt of many a team in his journey as a scholar athlete. This book is a great start at helping him to stay the humble, ‘lead by example’ type of leader he has shown to be so far and as he moves into the next stage of his life.

An excellent book!.

This book is simply yet powerfully written. Putting the concepts in story form, made the material more entertaining to read, while making it very relevant. I rarely reread books, but have slated this one in order to cement the concepts as well as for my enjoyment.

This book was recommended to me as a must-read when I first started working at my current place of employment. I loved the book so much that I ended up buying a copy for myself and indulge in re-reading it for a refresher every year or two. I would definitely recommend this book for professional growth in leadership and management.

Good book for leadership.

As a student of leadership and researcher in values and behaviors in leadership and generations the author is right. This book is very much to the point and interesting. Some of the interesting things that this book mentions are as follows: A lot of what people claim about leadership is based more on hope than reality. Many times leaders fail themselves, their customers, their stockholders, and their employees. No human being is without fault. An outstanding read which thoroughly blows up the entire leadership industry. If you are not already aware that everything you learn in that leadership training they send you to every year is a lot of feel-good with no basis in reality, then you must read this book.

Everyone should listen this book!

You can not take another person somewhere that you have never been. This is especially true with the things of God. Knowing God from the heart rather than the head is the key to a transformed life and to being a transformation leader. Love this book's refusal to sugar coat and placate any leader but calls each of us to continue to grow, positively influence others and prepare for the next leader behind you with joy. This book provides real world examples of great leadership at work and church. I bought this book for a class and I still own the book. I may use it again for handy reference one day.

Best book for leadership.

The book has some solid perspectives. And having worked at one of the companies mentioned by the author, I can see how the advice given in this book permeated the culture. So, this book definitely contains effective strategies. However, I think this misses a big piece of the puzzle. The connotation of "difficult" is used throughout the book, where it may be more apt to say "different", "troubled", or "temporarily hampered". It does not take any perspective besides the neurotypical. A very valuable book that serves as a terrific toolbox and roadmap for the top leadership skill of managing high performers, star talent, and difficult people.

A brilliant reintroduction to the various aspects

This book is a gem that every business leader and certainly every management consultant ought to have in their collection. Heavyweight management scholars talk about something that is so important to driving success in business. Business leaders often get caught up in operational effectiveness and dousing fire after fire without taking a step back and truly thinking about what forms the framework for the success of the company. bought these for my professional daughter and she loves them. Some of the best reading and PD she has ever had.

Best book for leadership.

Simplifying the change process, while not trivializing its complexities. The sequence required to inspire a need for, direct and entrench organizational development from the archaic bureaucracy to the streamlined, empowered workplace required for the twenty-first century. I bought this on recommendation, and this book deserves its reputation. Instead of getting down into this or that methodology for how to implement organizational change. A great introduction into leadership. This book clearly explains the difference between management and leadership and why leadership is important today
