Publisher's Summary

Learn the proven leadership skills and principles of how to become an effective leader and make everyone around you better!

Leadership is a term that people perceive very differently. Most think of CEOs, managers, and coaches and while that is of course true, it is much more than that. A leader is a person who goes in front of new projects, ideas or trends, and who can direct others towards a common goal. It doesn’t even have to be on a big scale. Remember that teacher who sparked your interest in mathematics or literature? Or your father who motivated you to do your homework when it was difficult? Leaders can be found everywhere in society, and you don’t need a big title to become one. Sometimes you will even have to be a leader without being told to be one.

By implementing the strategies taught, you will definitely maximize your potential as a leader by gaining the respect and trust of those around you. You will become more approachable and easy to work with. Your communication skills will become top-notch and people will find you irresistible, which will open the way for meaningful conversations at work.

Don’t waste any more time doubting yourself. Instead, use this time to become the leader you are really meant to be. Scroll Up and buy this audiobook now!

Narrator was strange.

I found it odd that the narrator inhaled his breath so loudly every so many seconds through out the entire book! A little distracting.

Not as expected

Provided details on various definitions and contructs of leadership, but very little context on how to apply, or how to improve communication.

just a PowerPoint list of bullets

this is not a book. it is literally just a narrator reading a list of bullets. there are no stories or examples. it doesn't build to an ultimate goal. and the list is as simplistic as talking about your handshake or if you don't know how to dress professionally buy a fashion magazine.

Helpful book !

Leadership and Self-deception is a quick read that leaves the reader questioning their attitude toward life in general.
The theme of the book is basic, but the methodology of how the theme is portrayed is what shines in this book. The real-life examples allow the reader to put them-self in those situations to judge how they are performing accordingly.

Simple ideas, profound impact.

Great for leadership. For each commitment, they give examples of what performing above vs below the line would entail. The highlights of this book is their focus on introspection and the importance of self-awareness and honest feedback. In my opinion, the best "commitments" are the ones related to honesty, integrity and focus.

Great book on leadership!

Michael Powell recognized that many today are taking about the importance of leaders and leadership, but few have adequately marked out what leadership is and what leaders do. Further complicating the issue is the distinction between secular and sacred leaders.

Effective leadership

I have found this book to be the easiest read with a lot of useful information. Something that I can apply to everyday work. Thank you for taking the dryness out of textbook listen . I had to have this book for my summer class and despite my dread of having to read it in the first place, it gives some great examples, theories, and information about leadership.

Concise, powerful advice. Every version improves.

Almost every paragraph in this book had me underline something. This was required for a course I took and I will listen it again! So good!! The concepts in here are useful not just for the workplace, but for all of life. I can't even begin to tell you how valuable this book will be over the course of the rest of my career and life. It helps on personal and professional levels and it such a powerful tool. Very well communicated and they give good points of view from experienced people who have put these principles into practice.

I would rather the book.

Easily the worst performance I've ever heard, made me short of breath just listening to it. The lessons in the book are fine but everything else is terrible.

Great understanding of leadership and management

Although the leaderships book is great and very useful to my work. The only problem with this book is, during examination of the leader the reader and possibly even the book they consistently refer to a leader as a him. This made me a bit confused as to why they wrote it in this way.
