Publisher's Summary

There are various key attributes that are essential for anyone who wants to be a super leader. This book outlines these traits; fortunately, if you do not already possess them, you will be able to acquire them through self-discipline and dedication.

How do you teach leadership? You could take a class, buy several opinionated books by authors who’ve "been there", or participate in leadership seminars, workshops, or programs sponsored by your company - if they are available. These cost too much, and in the end, the principles of leadership are the same ones taught decades ago. This book is all you need to learn the key principles of leadership and for pennies on the dollar compared to what’s out there. In this book, you’ll learn the theories and principles of motivation, decision-making, influencing others, leading a team, and building your network for success.

Many people look for ways to move from being passive followers to strong leaders. They may have a lot of ideas in their head, much of which might be vague and untested.

This book introduces you to the art of leadership through the development of management skills, social skills, and communication skills; three skills which comprise practically all of the skills needed to forge a leader from a follower. The skills described are based on experience and practical wisdom on the subject. The content is clear and easy to read, and at the same time, demonstrates a profound knowledge of the subject of leadership and the skills that go into its making.

If you listen to this book today, you will no longer have to imagine this things, you could be living them.

Your life change starts now! Stop thinking that you can’t, know that you can! Take action, and buy this book!

Great team training/self improvement!!!!

Most leadership books I've found to have nothing useful and are just common knowledge, taken from other writers, seem like the writer has never actually led or managed anyone, or are just complete idiot bunk trying to make the work force a happy place where nothing seems to get done anymore as we're supposed to be everyone's friend. This book is great! It gets you motivated and keeps you busy. It not only gives great advise and strategies but also great motivational stories.

THE BEST BUSINESS BOOK IN A WHILE!!!

I think get in a new level of leadership because of this book. The book is excellent for anyone that wants to have better relations, perception and influence at any kind of groups, business, personal contacts, and even family. We start to perceive at what level of operation style is each person or group and the best way to contact motivate influence and take to de next level.I read countless business books teaching my entrepreneurial clients new ways of looking at their roles in their business. In this book, the simple way that so many characteristics of a leader are broken down makes it easy to relate to and easy to talk about.

The Difinitive Book on Leadership!!!!

Great book for anyone who wants to improve their leadership skill. Everyone is a leader in both their personal and professional life. It reminds me a bit of The Purpose Driven Life as it's easy to read just one section at a time. You don't necessarily have to be completely familiar with what comes before each law to understand a new one. It also makes it easy to go back and reread those that have more significance for you than others.

Awesome!!!

To be successful in life we need to know how to deal with people. Tim Wickman provides the tools and understanding to succeed with our relationships and lead a happy and healthier life.I was skeptical of the book at first but I got some useful tips I plan to use. Especially the reward system to encourage people. I also find the list of things people need very helpful and insightful as well.I loved that he was personable, his stories were more then just stories but illustrated a point that can be part of anyone's life.

Wonderful book about life and priorities!!!!

A great book that is hard to put down once you get started. It truely makes you rethink your priorities and realize that you have one trip through life, so enjoy those little moments.A lot of leadership books are good ideas stretched into a long book that I never get around to finishing. This book is perfect for getting to the point and giving a lesson that is worthy of reflection. This is an exceptional collection of stories! Written masterfully in a way the weaves multiple leadership lessons in each story.

THE BEST BUSINESS BOOK IN A WHILE!!!

The research-based methods for creating a harmonious and highly-effective workplace are a revelation in a sea of books on "management" which generally encapsulate the ideas of one or two individuals who believe themselves to be great leaders.
This book changed the game for me in terms of understanding myself, my organization and those I work with. I ended up purchasing copies for each person on our senior staff. I found the way the material was presented helped in understanding this new way of thinking about leadership and management.

Simple to read and implement. Although you would think the message in this book is an obvious one for leaders, I am guessing many of you have not created and delivered a statement regarding your leadership philosophy.Excellent book on leadership. Well written, interesting, and explains things in a very straight-forward manner related to real-world scenarios. Would highly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in leadership. This book helps people understand the concept and make a first attempt at developing one, however my experience with this book has been as part of a leadership class given by Academy Leadership!!!!

A terrific tool for managing talent.

We have all experienced the effects of insufficient leadership, where all team members experience strain and struggle to reach their potential. And many of us have been on the other side of this, called to lead a team and trying to figure out how keep sticky problems from metastasizing. Filled with practical and insightful tips and advice, I found the book to be a fascinating read -- I couldn't put it down. In Leading the Unleadable, Alan Willett helps leaders to manage the most troublesome members of their teams. Practical, positive and thoughtful, this book contains illuminating case studies along with a clear system for transforming conflicts into successes.

Solid Update for a Leadership

My pastor recommended this book to me because of some voluntary duties I had recently taken on at church. While reading the book, I could understand how leaders are everywhere even if they are not bestowed with an official title. Almost every paragraph in this book had me underline something. Very well communicated and they give good points of view from experienced people who have put these principles into practice.

nice book.

It gave good advice in making a new vision for any business be successful. It goes hand in hand with The Heart of Change. Leading Change provides a common sense model for police executives to implement the substantive change needed in our profession. Even though I'm retired, I do considerable research for workshops I facilitate with police executives throughout California

Useful book!!

I bought this for a course. I thought it would be a mundane read, but this is actually a good book in general. After reading through this book it has provided me with new lenses on which to look at the world. This book was what we were using in class. If I didn't have to read it in class I would not have known all of the good information it provided. I have used the information in this book in real life, and it has been extremely helpfu

Exellent book.

A wonderful, well-researched profile of four amazing men that exemplified the key qualities of great leadership at a time when it was most needed. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. As usual with this author, the book was not only well researched but interesting to read. The four U.S. presidents, featured in the book are fascinating people and the book helps show how their paths to leadership were different and yet in some ways similar.
