Good story supported by excellent narration

I think the "Age of The Five" is probably Trudi Canavan's best fantasy trilogy. While it shares a lot of elements with her magician's guild books, it is set in a different fantasy world and not so blatantly influenced by role-playing games or typical fantasy writing.

In "The Last of the Wilds" Auraya, the White, undergoes a subtle transformation. The listener is also introduced to the Pentradreans, the dreaded enemy, and the black and white, right and wrong world created by the five gods ruling Mithania becomes blurred.

I heartily recommend this unabridged version to the abridgement, as there are some details that adds flavour to a good story that you might miss if listening to the abridged version.

Sarah Douglas complements the story nicely and brings the story to vividly to life.

Be warned, at the end of this book, you might be impatient to get the the next part, "The Voice of the gods." I enjoyed this book.

well written and very enjoyable

I find the more I read Judy Canavan's litery workks, the more I want to devour. i can not get enough of them

enjoyable listen with the plot increasing nicely leading to a great finish for this book. now excited to listen to the third.

I love this series

Great book. I just wish the reader didn't make Reivan sound like a chav! I've read the books and she was the character I wanted to be so it ruined it a little.

Great listen

I have always loved this book and have it in paperback. I found the narrator a good edition to the story and found this to be an easy listen with her smooth voice and command of each characters personality which in this book is no easy feat. Definitely worth listening to

addictive

Trudi Canavan is a very addictive author. If you read the first one in one of her trilogies you can stop there but if you start the second book you will need to to the end of the third in no time.

Don't start her series with reading a book and switch to audio because you might pronounce the names different.

This is the second book in the series. All her books have a sense of closure, but often Canavan's second books in her trilogies leave a lot still open so you can never stop at the end of this you will need to read the third.

Still good

Loved it when the book first came out, still just as good in audio. A great story.

The other books have a chap reading them, whose voice is not one I could listen to for the length of these books, so looks like I will not be listening to any more books from this author unless this changes, sadly
