Acerca de esta escucha
Britain has a single pod of orca, also known as killer whales, native to its home waters, although other orca visit from more northern regions. In 2014, Dr. Natalie Sanders joined the crew of the HV Silurian to seek them out and study them before we lose them forever. In The Last Sunset in the West, she discusses them one by one, and the many issues surrounding their lives in a captivating account that will take the listener deep into the history of our relations with the sentient and beautiful creatures.

Experiences & sightings were phenomenal!
I absolutely LOVE the fact that this book was purely based on actual, real-life experiences. I am beyond jealous of everything the author has encountered, and I continue to hope and pray for all our marine mammals’ well-being! Thank you for your insight on your trip and facts about our animals that many people might not know about. I’ve enjoyed this wonderfully narrated and written book. Thank you!

A must read book for orca lovers !
This was a beautifully written book with a perfect mixture of science and personal experiences discussing orcas and marine life . It told many stories some wonderful , some heartbreaking but always important to learn so we can protect these wonderful creatures and the oceans. Natalie covered some vital topics about the environment and ecosystems along with informing readers how they can make changes to protect the environment. I also really enjoyed that she encouraged readers to do research on whale tour and wildlife tours to ensure they are supporting one that protects the animals they view .
