Loved this snip-it only wish it were 30 hrs!

I have every iteration of this series. It is the Gold Standard of shoot-em up, action packed, war talking, zombies killing, end of the world with a bit of humor. Man I wish it didn’t take so long for the next books in the series to come out. I also wish this was a Netflix series.
Any of these books are a good read but if you’re just starting you should begin here. This book covers the early days of the ZA Wars and answers the questions how the USS Kennedy and the Russians. This series is also very timely with the cursed China birthing yet another deadly worldwide virus. If you’re on the fence be careful because this series will hook you like no other,

After. 2nd thought there are two other series that truly hooked me like this series does Keith C. Blackmore’s The Mountain Man and Taylor Anderson’s The Destroyermen Series. These three will keep you entertained and laughing while on the edge of you seat for years. Golden!

An excellent stand alone

This is a great stand-alone for this series, it should serve as your intro to the series of you are new to the Arisen Series. You’ll read many reviews refer to how short it is, which may baffle you as it seems a “normal length” BUT each book is approximately 15 hrs long, so we’re a bit spoiled. This is a great set up for newbies because the pace of action is something you must be prepared for in addition to multiple stories all over the world which will eventually coalesce, so these stand-alones are great interjections to bringing insight as the saga unfolds
RC Bray kicked arse on the narration once again

Btw if you’re going to begin Mountain Man (which is amazing), start with the Hospital because like this book, it sets up all that is to come. Enjoy

Encore!

This novella was published in 2020, eight years after the original Arisen novels were published. I presume this novella was released to bring attention to Arisen to readers once again. Arisen is a great set of novels, perhaps one of the best military zombie apocalypse novels out there. I listened to Arisen in 2015 and I’m seriously considering listening to it again now that the novella has whet my appetite for it. Exactly what it was meant to do, to include new readers/listeners. An ingenious tactic. Among the many quotable quotes, many of which made me laugh, “A helicopter is basically ten thousand parts flying in close formation.”

AWESOME Jumping on point.

I can't say enough, so I'll just say... This is my favorite series, even over Dark Tower. If you like it too, the same quality is here. Think Maximum Bob kind of badassery. If you're new to it, there's HOURS AND HOURS of the same waiting for you. It's short, and cheap... pay cash, and save your credit for the Arisen 1-3 set!

great stand alone

This was another great book in the arisen series. From a completely different perspective. As fas as I'm concerned, the author can keep writing stories in this universe.
RC Bray was awesome as usual.

It’s honestly so good. Only complaint is that I wish it was 45 hours longer😀
